• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I bought my hitch today in Clearwater. Will be installed on Tues. I asked if they had a 4 pin harness for a Goldwing, (Honda Dealer also) thought I would have them install that instead. No gots!!! So will change it later. Of course I was informed that if I use any trailer but BRP's. I will be assessed a game misconduct penalty and forfeit my warranty. ya takes yer chances.

I cant see this affecting your warantty they specify 40 lbs hitch weight and 400 lbs trailer wt I have never heard that you have to only pull a brp trailer.I will say that they would like you having a brp trailer.

I pull a none BRP trailer, Jason Ion, The dealer I purchased the Spyder from and installed the hitch knew what I was pulling. My local dealer that does my service knows what I pull. Even had BRP tech at Americade comment on how nice the trailer looked when he helped me with an issue on the Spyder. I was parked just across the from the BRP demo site at Americade. No one as ever mentioned that I will void my warranty.

Along as you follow the guides and do not over load the trailer you should be fine. I have never put more that 22lb on hitch (is use a bathroom scale to check) even with quite a loaded trailer, all about balance. My tongue between hitch and axle is quite long so helps in the physics. My ultimate goal is to get a BRP trailer, holding for the right price, right location, right time. Then I will sale my Ion,

Nothing you do can just 'forfeit' your warranty. We have very specific laws about this kind of thing here in the USA.

The only way they can not cover something under warranty under such circumstances is to show that your modification or action (pulling a non-BRP trailer) was directly responsible for the damage.

Pull what you want... within reason and don't sweat it!
