• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Nice ride over and back. 30.8 mpg. Only saw 2 Spyders all day. Just south of Destination Daytona. Other than the ride it was a waste of time and gas.

You missed a bunch of us. We were South Daytona Friday night. I think there were about 11 spyders that went to dinner Port Orange Steak house food was great and company even better like always. I know bunch of the SRA C2C group went on a ride to the loop. Sat morning. But you were right about the event itself. Nothing really going on. We just go for the ride and the company

Its all about the ride! I did meet Reggy there and he installed some fender lights on my RT. I did see more spyders this year at Biketoberfest than I did last year. I rode the Loop last year and decided to ride to the Lighthouse this year. I think I like the Loop better. I did buy a few things at Destination Daytona and a couple things from fenders and thats about it.
I do wish the Can-Am folks had been there. Total miles driven: 584 Awesome weather!

Forgot to mention that I did meet a spyderlover there.

You need to spend more than the day. I got there Thurs morning and did the cold ride back on Sunday morning. The "fest" is VERY widely spread out and there are literally days worth of things to do and see. Main street at night is an experience. Things are set up all over town and beyond from Ormond Beach to New Smyrna. There were plenty of Spyders, I saw at least 50. According to the local media they had over 100,000 biketoberfest visitors, tens of thousands of bikes. The vendors are all spread out also and they move a lot. If you frequent the speedway, you'll notice less vendors but I saw several of them on Beach Street. A vendor doesn't have to pay high rates, they can just move elsewhere.

Who's Reggy? and where was he installing lights? i had several people tell me they couldn't find anything over there for the spyders.

3 of us rode down Thursday from the St. Augustine area and I saw many :spyder2:'s but none with us, my wife had hand surgery and she can't ride yet and the other :spyder2:'s that ride with us went on other days. Beautiful weather.

I was located at exit #1, I-95, North bound for the CMA coffee break event on Saturday. We had a good response. Many bikers looked at my Spyder and made the comment that they were every where in Daytona. This led me to believe that Spyders were coming out of the wood work in Daytona. I am surprised that some of you guys made the comment that you did not see a lot of them.

Reggy is at TricLed.com. One of the sponsors on spyderlovers. I had a prearranged meeting with him and he is awesome. If you're looking for LED lights, Reggy and TricLed are the folks to help you out.
