Off topic, but I've always looked at this event Thousand Island River Run, its June 21-23 the weekend after spyder owner event.

I've never been to that area of New York and it looks a great place to visit the event would just be an excuse.

I've ridden the Cats Skill and around Lake George a few times, I love the roads around the Cats Skills great ridding, but never ridden over to the North West of New York.

I live in NY, and I have never been there. I hear it is beautiful up there and would definitely make the trip to meet up with some fellow spyderlovers. Still not real happy with the whole SITA situation though.

I was on Camp Drum (now Fort Drum) back in the early 60s, had a WLA and a Triumph 500, some really good roads up there, and the run from roughly Oswego to Masenna was great! Hoping to get up to Alexandria Bay this summer, see how many of my friends are still around.

harry, the wife and I have a place in upstate ny and we travel all over up there on the spyder. we took a weeks vacation last year and spent the time "day tripping" out of our place on tug hill. the clayton and alexandria bay area along the st. lawrence river are beautiful.. the area around lake ontario and near Henderson harbor and sacketts harbor are great too. there is fort kent on the river which is kinda neat as well. actually there is another ride up through the western part of the Adirondacks that sends you up through the oswagatchie river basin and you can return back through fort drum and that too is a great ride. any time you guys want to ride upstate, the wife and I will join up or take you on a couple of our fav"s. wine country ain't too bad either. chuck

Have you ever eaten at Tin Pan Galley in Sackett's Harbor? The gf and I go up there every now and then on the spyder for Sunday brunch.

You're right Randy at least Mark is, not too sure where Craig lives. Spyders in the Smokies, which was the predecessor(Sp) to SITA was organized I believe by a guy called "Billybob" from I think TN. I haven't heard anything about him in probably a couple of years not sure if he even has a Spyder anymore.

I thought Billybob was from Long Island and he kind of got run off because of the statement he made about Lamont's BBQ and the politics involved.

When we first met Billybob he was living in Tn., that was in 2008, the 1st year of the SITS event. If I'm not mistaken he owned a beef ranch down there and seemed to be doing very well. He of course ran into some problems and eventually moved up to Long Island and I lost track of Billybob after that. He is/was a very flamboyant kind of guy but quite likeable.

I think these are the guys that run Spydertalk and also a Can-Am sled site.:dontknow: It appears that their spyder site doesn't do much any more but I think they are heavily involved in the sled site this time of year. I would guess they haven't done much planning for SITA yet so hopefully this won't go away. I've never been but I would love to see that part of the country sometime.
