I have a 2010 Spyder RT and I live in a rural farming area. Needless to say, I am constantly cleaning bugs from my windshield. A lot of them become trapped under the front windshield trim. I have tried removing the trim my removing all visible screws, however, the trim still remains attached to the windshield. Does anyone know what I'm missing. Any help will be appreciated.

There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I think that those pieces have to be slid downward a bit to release them. Slip a playing card under their bottom edge so that you don't scratch up your windshield.

Once the screws are removed...... move paper (note book type) up under the two trim pieces and tape it so it does not move. Then slide the trim pieces down. Re install using paper again.
Avoids scratching the shield.

Its easy, just take your time and have patience
If your referring to the chrome or black plastic pieces, they are held on by 1 screw at the top from the inside of the shield and by a tab on the bottom. Once you remove the top screw, then carefully slide the trim piece down toward the ground, and you should feel it move and the pressure will give. Once you have the tab out of position, carefully pull the top part away from the shield and then twist the bottom tab out of its hole. Take care, especially of the top of the trim piece, cause it has a metal retainer and will easily scratch your shield, trust me, I've done it many many times now
pps: because of a bad index finger. Once you learn the little trick to it, its actually very easy, as long as you can readily use all your fingers and both your hands
