• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Too Close For Comfort?

I heard a long time ago..........

..................that once you enter a large body of water, you've just become part of the food chain. Think about THAT, and it'll shiver your timbers. <M>

Back in the 1980's--I was canoeing in St. Louis Bay--a part of Lake Superior--when a large Sturgeon breached about 5 ft from my canoe. It about scarred me to death since I was not expecting anything like that. The wake made me grab the canoe to steady it from rolling over. That was my first and last encounter with a Sturgeon.

...1968... We were fishing for Northern pike up in Canada. (Lake Chibougamau)
We had a stringer of Walleyes trailing along that was hooked to the oarloack...
a HUGE Muskie came up from below, grabbed the stringer, and ripped the oarlock off the boat...
I about messed myself... :opps: I was sitting right next to gGound Zero, went the oarlock flew by my ear! :D
