• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Been busy installing Front Vader and LED Accent Lighting

Been Busy the last couple of days off and on doing a couple little projects on the Spyder.

Removed that wimpy horn from the front clip and installed duel Rivco Electric Horns. They are installed behind the tupperware down below the mirrors. Easy place to bolt both in place (2013), one on each side.

Also installed the Tunnel Lighting along with Headlight and Foglight Vader Lighting. It looks good lit up, day and night. Had to also install Fusion LED Accent Lighting. The Fusion Lighting looks pretty good, lights everything up below quite well.

We are going to install side panel LED's also later this Winter. Have not decided how extensive we want to go.

Used a 4 Channel wireless remote for powering up multiple LED's, works quite well. Can turn anything off or on without a mechanical switch and allows for a little more flexibility on which lighting you want on at any time.

(love to hear a video of those horns...)

Thanks,

The horns sound just like car horns, which is just fine (maybe a little louder). A whole lot better then what was on it. We got a little harassed down in Pigeon Forge, every time we went in Tunnels every one would hit their horns, just to hear our wimpy thing. After a while we had to stop doing ours, it was quite entertaining for everyone.

With a 2013 RT, you really do not even need the mount kit, just the horns. You can remove the horns from the front clip, then remove the cable that plugs into the horn and pull it back. You can go to Radio Shack and get a relay, plug the horn cable in to the relay coil connectors.
Power will go into one side of the contact and other side goes each of the horns. Almost below the mirrors on each side under the tupperware you will find an empty hole in the channel that you can mount each mirror in. Scratch a little paint from around the hole for the horn ground.
Pretty easy install. Evidently the horn is in a different location on the 10-12 RT's and they give you a bracket in the mounting kit for those.

I took some pictures but they did not turn out that great, hard to see the horns.
