Another tire question

Anyone have experience with the Michelin Primacy 215/60/15 ? It seems to me to be the closet thing to what is already on the Spyder, wear longer than the Kend and possibly correct the speedo error. I looked at the Kumho company website and there I could not find a listing for the 225/50/15, could it be that they have discontinued that size and I am just not "seeing" it?

Yes, I have been running the 215/60/15 Primacy for 6,300 miles and shows little wear. Handles great, no nanny problems, and I think it rides a little smoother. It also makes the speedometer much more accurate, within 1 mph.

TALKING ABOUT TIRES......
I JUST 'ROTATED' MY FRONTS; SIDE-2-SIDE... and it dawned on me that if you buy 'UNIDIRECTIONAL' tires, you MUST NOT rotate them from side-2-side without removing them from the rims, and switching them that way... as it is, i have the KUMHO Solus KH16's on the front: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Kumho&tireModel=Solus+KH16 and since they ARE NOT undirectional, it allows me to switch sides which changes the rotation of the tire in the opposite direction that it was traveling on the opposite side.... i have about 33,000 miles on mine, and i'm only half way down to the 'wear bars'... gr8 tires... :thumbup:

Hi Dan, I am a newbie to the Spyder world. I have a 2014 RT and I thought 165/55/15 was my front tire size and I didnt find that size listed in the URL you posted, which model Spyder do you have and are the tires on the 2014 RT different than what is on your bike?

Here is a handy tire calculator one can use to compare. A 205/55/15 is as close as it gets when comparing RPM.

i ride an '09 RS/SE5.... my front tires are 14 inchers... the RS has since been fitted with 15 inchers, but that is of no concern because most tire manufacturers produce specific designs in various sizes... and YES, the tires on my ride are different that those on the RT's... only because i replace the OEM Kenda's with what i feel are better tires, at a cheaper price, that give me better performance and mileage... you need to search around and ask lots n lots of people questions, as you did me, and after a while, you will determine which tires will suit you best...

Do a googlesearch and they pop up all over the place---I got mine a discounttiredirect.com----around 80-85 dollars and free shipping. They are also on ebay.
