• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Any Modification recommendations from those who tour on their Spyders?

Dash cams front and rear, and possibly blindspot detectors, and AAA towing. Have fun and be safe.

Used Spyders selling like mad here in North East Ohio! (March 2026)

From just a couple of years ago, I'm now seeing the asking price of secondhand Spyders much below previous years. Maybe 2k or 3k less.

Anybody see a measurable change in fuel mileage with larger diameter rear tire?

Yes. Stage II will NOT increase your MPGs. However, if used incorrectly, it can quickly put you in a position you may not want to be in. It's fun to play with, but do it safely. Anticipate its speed and be ready for it when it comes in.

Anybody see a measurable change in fuel mileage with larger diameter rear tire?

Absolutely! MPGs all start and end in the right wrist. JMHO

Anyone purchased a helmet from Europe?

I bought 2 Shark modular helmets online from Europe when I bought my Spyder. During my research, I found that testing requirements in European countries were conducted after manufacturing and assembly, unlike preassembly testing here in the US. That procedure safeguarded against defects entering...

Here's some Weird Misinformation about Spyder RT's!!

If your need for speed is that great, why'd you buy a Spyder? There's plenty of other machines out there that'll wax an F3 like it's standing still.

Anyone heard of or have one of these Spring loaded hitches?

I've contemplated this hitch for a long time, and I agree with Mikey.

Forever mystified by Can Am's lack of style...

If you are looking for style, you might have picked the wrong machine. Almost all my rides were black, and when my ride is doing what I bought it for, I'm looking down the road, so color hasn't much to do with anything.

What is the 'proper' method to secure a Spyder on or in a trailer for transport?

"Super Chocks," the best tiedown ever made (IMHO), but no longer manufactured. I have two pairs. One for the Spyder and one for the Polaris. Both attach to the same Aluma flatbed trailer. Simple and safe. There are some second hand still out there for sale, if you can find them.

Does the rear axle have to be loosened to change the Rear brake pads on an F3T?

    Here's a helpful tool. https://www.slingmods.com/canam-spyder-rear-brake-pad-caliper-retraction-tool

Prepping for the ultimate riding season - have I missed anything?

I ditched all that and put a trailer hitch on my spyder, hooked a camp trailer to it and took off. Snow? When we got to the snow, we checked into a hotel or motel with a covered parking lot and sat it out. The itinerary trips are a thing of the past now.

If I were to Buy an ST, what OEM parts should I get up front in case BRP stops making them?

Buy two, and keep one on hand as a source for parts.

How do you control Rabbits (without shooting)?

LOL, I've always had it in the back of my mind that I wanted to visit downunder. But now maybe I'll put it further on the back burner and focus a little more on Alaska. I've deterred and chased away bears, coyotes, mountain lions, and wolves from time to time on my place, but I don't think I'd...

How do you control Rabbits (without shooting)?

Well... a higher bunny proof fence, one they couldn't jump over would be my first suggestion. Beyond that, I'd invest in a pricey pellet rifle with a night vision scope. One that when you shoot it won't make a loud enough sound to draw any neighbor's attention, particularly at night. Then scoop...
