• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone tried Washing/Cleaning the Pads from inside a helmet?

Dawn dish soap has become kind of my new go to for cleaning things. Honestly my Bell helmet I have probably had longer than I should, but I bought new pads a year or so back and replaced them.

Sliding off floor lift (GAH!) - What do you do to keep your Spyder from sliding off the jack?

So far I havent had that experience. But it might be as I use an ATV type jack.

Do I assume the starter is dead or am I missing something?

If the starter "clicks" there is power getting to circuit, other wise it would not do that. A weak relay could be a fault. But nn a lot of my past experiences with automotive and bike's, slow to turn over or say windows don't go up quite as fast as they used to, it's the ground circuit. Not only...

Can this plastic piece be removed to wrap?

This may sound a bit odd, but the last few days, coming home from work around 4:30 in the afternoon, the sun hits just where the reflection is hitting me in the eyes. Dang near blinding. I had also moved my cup holder from its previous spot, as it partially blocked the mirror. The dang chrome...

Adding USB ports to 2024 Spyder F3T - anyone tell me what these wires are for?

What do they connect or dead end to? Turn the key on and see which have power and how much by probing the connector. Should get you started if you don't have a service manual.

Do I really need to Change O-Rings at Every Oil Change? Do you?

I 86'd the OEM plugs first time I did an oil change. It came recommended from a friend and my reading several threads.

Considering a Spyder - Can I Ask You Some Questions?

We came off a Victory Cross Country Tour. I like the seating position of the F3 Limited. Same rear trunk as the later RT's. I’m 5’6” and ours has highway pegs on the driver floorboards so I can stretch if needed. But there's plenty leg room. Steering will be a learning curve, as you’ll have a...

2010 RT Tire Replacement - do I need to use beads to balance it? What size valve stem?

I have been using beads for probably over 12-15 years now. Bikes cars,3/4 pickup. They work well. One advantage is they balance the tire thru its entire life.

What Headsets will work with 1/2 helmet & 3/4 helmets?

I use SENA, mine are SMH 10. But there are newer units now. They do make a 1/2 helmet set up. For me the speakers for me are not clear enough. I found even with a 3/4 helmet and a few hours on highway, My ears were ringing like when I was working on the flightline. So I have modified the units...

Spyder RT 2011 Burning my Right Leg - Any fixes?

I would think the last thing you want to do is "block off" anything if your getting tons of heat. Air flow is what you're looking for. Sounds like Ron's solution makes more sense. On some of the HD and VIctory that had some oil cooler heat issues, which in turn could cause rider heat. Guys used...

Is anyone running these Bright yellow lights as headlights or foglights?

So On my F3 fog lights I bought some "static cling" type sheet off Amazon. Made a template with a piece of paper and layed it out on lens. Had to use a hair dryer to heat it a little and smooth it out with old credit card to lay flat.

First ride after adding seat gel hoping for more comfort, but nope, no change! What to do? Anybody made theirs better?

I bought a kayak air seat cushion years ago. I have looked, but they don't make the exact one any more. But this one on amazon is similar and $14. For the money, if it works; if not, then maybe invest in an Airhawk?

    Why Is Overfilling Oil “Bad”?

As mentioned, gaskets start to leak, and oil for some reason even on wet sump bikes ends up in the air intake. As the crank splashes the oil it vaporizes and the PCV (crankcase vent system) recycles gases back thru the air intake.
