• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Pelican cases..

Anyone found side Racks that will let me mount some pelican cases? It seems that sw motech doesn't make one yet, and the pelican adapters from twisted throttle only work on givi PL racks. I suppose I could go with one of them as a top case on a sport rack or kewlmetal rack, but I really want...

BRP CALLED ME TODAY ABOUT STEERING

Took less than 5 minutes or mine this afternoon. Took the bike in to have the dealer pull the error codes (had a check engine light come on) and the software wouldn't let him pull the codes without re-flashing first, so we did it. Easy as pie.

    Now mine....

Dude, you are the man. I popped by cyclegear and 24.99 and 24 minutes of my life later, I now have an awesome, easy to use, factory looking throttle lock, just in time for my 600 mile weekend. Thanks for the great instructions and the pics!

    $1500 gear promotion?

Yeah I got the 3rd year of best, and I bought a qualified bike in the right timeframe, so I can't see why I wouldn't be able to get the rebate from BRP... Guess I'll talk to him when I go in for my 600 mile.

    $1500 gear promotion?

Hey all, Anyone know the details on how to apply for the $1500 accessory rebate? Is there a form somewhere I can just send in with my receipts or do I have to buy them all from the same dealer I got the bike from? $1500 is enough to cover the cost of my backrest/sport rack and BRP...

    Just Curious

I've got a 1.5 week old, 2008 Red SM5 that's totally stock. Oh wait, I installed the 12volt adapter on Friday - sorry! Backrest next week... BRP side bags as well (maybe). Won't last long.

    RAM Reservoir Mount

A little further point of clarification - the screws were tight due to the hole spacing, however I still had to buy 8x32 1 1/4" screws as the ones that came with the mount don't fit. I'd hate for someone to have thought I meant the RAM screws fit with a little extra force

    Back in the day

This movie came out 4 years before I was born, but as soon as Iit was available my dad got a copy on tape (maybe betamax?) and told me I had to watch it. At the time, I rode on the tank of his Bultaco 350 when we went for Sunday rides after church. He's still got the blue Bul, and I still have...

    RAM Reservoir Mount

For the record, I just installed a 345 on my reservoir, and while the screws felt a tad tight, it did fit and works like a charm. I'm very happy with the placement of my iPhone now.

    That looks perfect - thanks!

    Ram Mount question

Ok, just took another look at the spyder, and there's less room on the handlebars than I had thought. Any other cheap and easy mounting options to look at? My clutch side handlebar already has the schosche remote for my iPhone on it.

    Ram Mount question

Sorry for the dumb q, but since one can't search on 3 letter words, I can't find the answer. What size clamp should I get for an iPhone RAM mount for the spyder? thanks!

    Buying and price

Soooooooooo, I know this is often a touchy subject on forums, but eventually it becomes a regular staple of discussion. I've been looking at :spyder:s for 2 years now (went on one of the first group test rides during their pre-launch tour), and have finally decided that the time is right - I...
