• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    NC/SC Dealers?

I got my last service at Columbia Powersports in Columbia, SC and I was very pleased. They have two locations. I go to the Fernandina location.

    A Roger Rattigonism (my Apologies)

I'm not a very outgoing person, but being less than satisfied with my local dealer I went to a dealer an hour away and nervously asked to see the Service Manager. He came out and asked me what I wanted. I told him I was shopping for a dealer to do my service work. He was very forthcoming about...

    Looking for destinations

I agree with daveinva about Ohio 555 (known as the triple-nickel). While you are in Ohio, visit Lehman's Hardware in Kidron, OH. You'll be dazzled. Kidron is in an Amish area. Lots to see in Holmes County, Ohio. Orrville, just north of Kidron, is home to Smuckers Jelly. They have a neat gift shop.

Get a Drift HD720 for your Spyder.

Based on your recommendation, I bought one today and it is now charging. I'm looking forward to using it.

The bags are Hopnel bags. Big Bike Parts also sells them as do other vendors. I just have the two for the back trunk The small one that goes in the bottom of the back trunk is especially useful. When I bought my RTS, the dealer gave me a great deal on soft bags for the saddle bags. The BRP...

    Real Bike?

Guy says, "Is that a real bike?" I said, "No, it isn't a bike. Bike comes from bicycle, and 'bi' means two and I have three." He pauses and says, "What color are the other two?"

    Battery Tender

I find it just as quick to just lift the seat and use the battery tender alligator clips on the battery studs.

Time to vent and ask a question...or two....

Biosfena, Sorry to hear of you negative experience with dealers. If all fails, I recommend J&J Cycles in Huron, OH. A small dealer, but very customer friendly. Bernie

    On Two Wheels!!

I thought that would activate the Nanny. If lifting a front wheel doesn't activate it, what does when cornering?

Just installed a lift table that fits a spyder....

Once the Spyder is on the lift, does the center grey ramp and the center grey insert come off to gain access to the bottom of the front of the Spyder?

"I was able to modify a Kuryakyn cup-holder to fit my RT" What were the modifications that you made?

    If I did this right..

LLSailor, I have the same Rivco flag mounts. The white clips that came with them keep flying off. I've now lost all of them. Today my Navy flag came off because the clips came off. Luckily the person riding with me saw it fly off so I recovered it. Bernie OKCity CLG-5

    Another Newbe Question

Coptermike, Google "motorcycle packing lists" and you'll find many different opinions about what to pack. On my last trip, I blew a fuse for the 12v outlet in the trunk. (The only problem I've ever had). I wish I had familiarized myself with the location and layout of the fuse block before I...
