• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Is Running Diesel Oil in Your Spyder such a good idea?

You missed my point entirely. Rotella T6 5W40 (not 15W40) meets and is tested to many more specs than are listed on the bottle. Refer to the Shell technical specification for the rest of them. I will try to attach a copy but SN and JASO MA2 are among the included specs. So it DOES meet the...

Is Running Diesel Oil in Your Spyder such a good idea?

If you had taken the time to actually read the product specs, you would find it also carries a long list of other specs its tested for. SN and JASO MA2 (which requires an S series (gasoline) rating as well) are both included. The product also has a motorcycle on the label and its specifically...

Is Running Diesel Oil in Your Spyder such a good idea?

Shell Rotella T6 IS the recomended spec oil. Also after having an engine failure due to oil pump drive bearings failing (a manufacturing defect) BRP did indeed ask for maintenance records and tested the oil. The Shell Rotella T6 was perfectly acceptable and they quickly authorized the $12k cost...

Is Running Diesel Oil in Your Spyder such a good idea?

Shell Rotella T6 5W40 meets all BRP lubrication specs including JASO MA2 for motorcycle wet clutch applications. Its NOT just a diesel oil and is a full synthetic that just happens to be tested to meet several specifications. The rotella t4 in the video is a very different oil and does NOT...

Anyone other than BRP make a 2024 F3S Windshield? If not, why?

They make replacement plastic shield for the OEM brackets but do not have brackets. Brackets are only available by purchasing the OEM windshield kit which has never been made available. Short answer is no, Gufstafson does not have a windshield for the the '24 and up F3S and neither does anyone...

Bluetooth Music from Phone to Spyder speakers

Thumb drive formatted as Fat32 and copy your mp3 files over to it. 2015 thru 2018 Spyders with built in stereos will read and play the mp3 files from the thumb drive. The newer BRP Connect systems deleted this feature and older ones required an ipod.

Anyone other than BRP make a 2024 F3S Windshield? If not, why?

That part number only fits up through 2023. '24 to present are different and the new part number is not yet available. Nor are any aftermarket windshields that I have found. I am beginning to think about buying an F4 Customs shield and fabricating my own brackets or modifying the ones they have...

Anyone other than BRP make a 2024 F3S Windshield? If not, why?

Does anyone (other than BRP which has never been released) make a windshield for the '24 and up F3S? I cannot find one anywhere and even the ones BRP lists have never actually been available. If not, WHY?

Tire search - what is everyone going to these days?

Strange, have had zero issues fitting the Yokohama AVID 175/55R15 on the newer bikes.

Tire search - what is everyone going to these days?

Yes, they will fit the fenders on your S2S just fine. Have installed several sets on current generation RT. No rubbing.

Is a BEST extended warranty a good idea? What's the process on selling your BEST warrantied Spyder?

I stand corrected. I will say this is a major change to the terms the BEST contracts have had for many years. I just read mine and it cannot be cancelled after 30 days or after the first claim processed, whichever comes first. I have had 3 BEST contracts and they were all pretty much the...

Is a BEST extended warranty a good idea? What's the process on selling your BEST warrantied Spyder?

You cannot cancel and refund a BRP BEST extended warranty (other than for a short period after first purchased). They have always been this way. You must be speaking of some sort of aftermarket warranty plan. There is also no need to 'transfer' the warranty. It stays with the VIN when the...
