• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Does this Ultra Plus Full Synthetic 10W40 oil work for our Spyders?

Have to order full cases. Do not remember if that is 6 or 12 to a case.

Does this Ultra Plus Full Synthetic 10W40 oil work for our Spyders?

Rotella quarts are available from Shell Lubricants but very few retailers stock them. We do at our shop but mostly for customers that want to carry a spare quart on board. While on the subject, are others also seeing the shortage of available Rotella at the moment due to the Iran war issues...

Any advice on adjusting toe on the front wheels? Is the job doable without BUDS?

Lots of good discussion here. There was a bit above about toe in changing as the front wheels move up and down. This is true. As the front suspension is loaded, the toe in DECREASES. The twitchiness happens as well as steering upset in corners when the toe transitions from toe in to toe out...

Looking for Navigation options besides ACP - What do you recommend?

The Mapbox app CANNOT create routes. Period. it only does destinations and calculates its own routes. No allowance for shaping points or timing. Even the mobile versions of Google Maps, both Android and Apple cannot create routes. Google maps for web can but its useless on the road. At the...

Does this Ultra Plus Full Synthetic 10W40 oil work for our Spyders?

Yes. The Amsoil 10/40 MCF got rid of the alternator clutch shaft squeal on my 2024 F3S. I will continue running the Amsoil as a result. We also now stock it along with Rotella for the shop.

2026 S2S transmission failure - Anyone else having similar issues?

Sounds like the clutch is letting go while riding. Actually shifting from 6th to N would be 5 shifts as this is a sequential transmission and there is no path to get from 6th to N without going through all the other gears. The clutch is held clamped by oil pressure through the HCM (hydraulic...

Malfunction of the stock direction indicator lights blinking fast - any ideas/fixes?

Shot in the dark here but I have seen the problem several times. Remove the front wheels and check the wiring harness to the front fender turn signals. Many were not routed correctly and the tire rubs them in two and either breaks the connection or worse, causes a high resistance short from the...

Catastrophic Damage at 2026 D3WR - any suggestions on transporters to ship an F3 home to NC?

Have you thought about renting a Uhaul or Hertz truck and driving it home yourself? A roll back wrecker can help you load it.

Android Auto (wireless) for 2024 and up Spyders now available and working

I will be honest, not long after posting that information I grew tired of jumping through hoops each time I started the bike to get android auto working and gave up on it. I went back to using the built in bluetooth link to my phone for music and phone calls and leave it at that. Much simpler...

Today I tried navigation via BRP Go (2024+)...

Correction, you cannot chose a ROUTE, only a destination. BRP Go does not support routes. One of its biggest downfalls making it useless for planning motorcycle rides. The USB port is limited to 500ma and will not charge a phone while using navigation, simply not enough power.

How long does the Factory Belt Tensioner last by miles?

Most don't make it to the first tire change.

    Union Pacific Big Boy locomotive

35 tons of coal per 100 miles when it burned coal. Now 25 gallons of waste oil burned per mile. What a massive logistical problem to keep it moving for this excursion.

Any advice on adjusting toe on the front wheels? Is the job doable without BUDS?

We are a Rolo Laser alignment shop and located in North Houston. We also do all the alignment referrals for the local dealerships.

2016 RT Steering 'Chirps' - any adjustments to fix this, or is this the DPS going?

Its your alternator drive slipping. The easiest solution to get rid of it is by upgrading your oil. I can confirm, at least on my bike, switching to Amsoil 10W40 Metric motorcycle oil got rid of the noise. Lots of 2024 and up Spyders are having this issue from new.

Is the Alternator shaft squeal just a nuisance, or is it damaging anything?

Solved mine. I was skeptical but within a few hours riding time on the new oil, the noise is gone. I have put approx 2500 miles on the bike since.
