• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Backrest showing substantial signs of wear or anything?

Any cautionary tales (about or related to the case/backrest) on a 2017 F3T fitted with the GIVI B47 Top Case with Backrest?

Thanks for sharing TJ. I assume that you’re happy with the red reflectors on the case? @blacklightning got in my head with his all black case that matches the bike well. The GIVI 47 is what I’m targeting, with red reflectors.

Any cautionary tales (about or related to the case/backrest) on a 2017 F3T fitted with the GIVI B47 Top Case with Backrest?

Exact same color of my F3T, so this is a great sample! Only difference is the GIVI will have red reflectors. Though I do really like the look of yours!

Any cautionary tales (about or related to the case/backrest) on a 2017 F3T fitted with the GIVI B47 Top Case with Backrest?

Thanks for the feedback. My wife is 6’2” so you can imagine the struggles. She never rode on my 2 wheeler, so I didn’t expect this to happen. Otherwise I would have gotten a Limited. The removable GIVI just seems like the way to go. Thanks again!

Any cautionary tales (about or related to the case/backrest) on a 2017 F3T fitted with the GIVI B47 Top Case with Backrest?

Ladies and gentlemen, I have a good problem that I’m working to resolve. Turns out that my wife REALLY enjoys taking rides on the Spyder. I have an F3T with the Smoothspyder Dual-Mode backrest on it, which is great for a passenger of average height, but sits too low on a tall woman. I’m...

Who/where are the Largest Spyder Dealerships in around Chicago?

I’m in the Chicago burbs and bought from iMotorsports. They tend to carry a lot of options between their IL and FL locations, and transport for free. Another option in the area is Loves Park. https://www.lovesparkmotorsports.com/Shop-BRP/Can-Am

Not a Spyder Ryde, and not my ride either, but check out some of Australia's Great Ocean Road on a 1972 Honda CB750!

That has to be such an awesome experience! My first bike was a 1985 CB900 custom, and I loved that bike. Perfect for a tall rider, and pretty easy to perform maintenance on.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Had a nice riding day in the Chicago area yesterday, so I finally took the time to replace the original halogen headlights with LED’s. Big difference in visibility and appearance. Highly recommend it if you have halogens.

Has anyone tried Reverse Brake Bleeding on their Spyder? Was it effective?

Appreciate the feedback everyone. I will keep it traditional.

Has anyone tried Reverse Brake Bleeding on their Spyder? Was it effective?

I’m asking about using this method for both fluid replacement and prevention of introducing air into the line. Fluid in from the nipple into the reservoir, and suctioning out the cruddy fluid from the top.

Has anyone tried Reverse Brake Bleeding on their Spyder? Was it effective?

Has anyone tried reverse brake bleeding on a Spyder? If so, was it effective? If not, does anyone see any reason why it might be a bad idea? Seems like a pretty logical and quick method on a 2 wheeler.

Interesting conversation at the gas pump - asked why I chose to ride a Spyder rather than 'a real motorcycle'?!

Pick anything on wheels, and there will always be a detractor standing by to tell you what you should have bought instead! I rode on 2 wheels for many years, and don’t recall any strangers being curious about my ride. I had my Spyder for about 2 weeks this Fall before the first of multiple...

Is it possible that BRP Corporate records on the Sprocket Recall have not been updated?

As others have said, that’s a steep price given the year and mileage. Regarding the recalls, I’d be surprised if the VIN wasn’t recorded when the recalls were performed, especially if performed by an authorized dealer/service facility. Trust your gut. This doesn’t sound like a once in a lifetime...

Trading in my Ryker, it's time for an F3-T - what issues should I be looking for/concerned about?

Congrats on the purchase, as I just purchased the same year and model about a month ago. Check the VIN for open recalls on Can Am’s website, make sure that the rear air suspension holds air and functions properly as its manually adjusted not auto. Everything else is spot checks that it sounds...
