• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Ever driven your Spyder onto a ferry?

Been on the ferry from Norway to Denmark, no problem. Then a smaller ferry in Germany that took us over the river "Elbe", no problem there either. At the end of the trip, the ferry from Holland to Norway, also no problem. And as stated earlier, going at an angle is safer if it looks too steep.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Today I bought a digital voltmeter to replace the analog temp gauge. I also removed the fuel gauge, as I just learned on this forum that it will come up on the main display together with the temp. Installation and wiring was nice and easy, and I also made a 3D printed cap for the empty fuel...

Need clarification on disconnecting the analog temp gauge - will that bring up the digital gauge?

I got my 3D printer working on a diy plug at the moment. I will post a pic when it is all done and hopefully fitted where the fuel gauge used to be. Digital voltmeter allready mounted. :)(y)

Need clarification on disconnecting the analog temp gauge - will that bring up the digital gauge?

Hi all! I have read a few threads about temp gauge and magnetic mirrors and now I want to make sure I have understood this solution. If I disconnect the analog temp gauge it will appear on the digital screen? I could of course go and disconnect it and try, but if I can get confirmation in here...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Hi Lew and thank you for the reminder. I did not, but sure will get me some wires and do that as soon as possible. It would be sad to loose a mirrior to the ground and see it fall to pieces.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Installed the magnetic mirror parts that came in the mail today. The mirrors were becoming too wobbly after x numbers of being slapped off and on in the garage. Installing them was easy and straightforward, and those magnets sure are strong. Did a lil' video while working on it: Magnetic mirrors

What Communication devices do you use between rider/pillion & other riders in your group?

We use an Interphone Tour HD for intercom. Seldom ride with others, so no need for that, but it can have 4 active connections. I get calls right in my ear and also directions from my Garmin Zumo. I choose not to have the Garmin connected when we are two up cause it mutes my wife when giving me...

This Helmsman fell asleep at the helm!

Update: It has now been pulled off the land by tugboats and has been towed to port for discharging of all its cargo. Then they will tow it to drydock for repairs.

This Helmsman fell asleep at the helm!

Containership hit land doing about 15 knots and almost hit a house here in Norway. As a crane operator (now retired) I handled a lot of units on this ship, but then it had a different name and was owned by another company. I feel sorry for the guy at the helm, and I hope he is not punished too...

Solved - Frunk switch not opening - will replacing the switch help?

Not in my case, 'cause then it would have to have vibrated off and back on only the two on top. That is just impossible. And btw, I've now got a frunk light!

Solved - Frunk switch not opening - will replacing the switch help?

This morning I found why the solenoid was not working and never had for as long as I have had the bike. (Factory new, but bought in 2015) I suspect the issue was due to factory worker not connecting the frunk micro switch properly. As I pulled all the plastic around the headlights and had a...

Solved - Frunk switch not opening - will replacing the switch help?

Neat and simple solution there @Gwolf . And I agree, the key - wire solution is not optimal for sure. I will mount an emergency cable during the weekend, just to be safe.
