• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Disc lock??

I can see it now. Spyders and Rykers chained to bike racks and street light poles all over town. Followed by law suits filed by 9 year-old kids who had their bikes stolen because all the parking spots were taken :hun:

    Disc lock??

Guess not. He says "there is no steering lock", hence the question. And he is talking Ryker, not Spyder.

    Disc lock??

Seems it would be a little too big to roll into a trailer to steal like a bike. Don't see the need to lock a wheel as an issue for a Ryker or Spyder. You could always get a long padlock and run it through the disc. probably a bunch less money. Or a bike cable and lock through the rear wheel...

    Helmet-mounted 3rd brake light

have to agree with Jack got rear ended about 9 years ago and was off the bike for 7 months. I'm a big mirror use advocate but the guy changed lanes and hit me. It's possible a helmet light would have prevented the whole thing. It's a higher percentage than you realize.

    KK4VKY , HAM

this is interesting most of us think ham is Easter dinner or a slice at breakfast. Ham operators are pretty helpful in the real world, during weather events for one. Many years ago my uncle was stationed in Labrador or Newfoundland while in the Air Force. Phone connections from there to...

    vest extenders

Vest extenders were invented because the vests of middle aged riders are made of material that shrinks with age and no longer fits the middle aged bodies. So vest extenders allow the rider to continue to use the shrunken vest.
