• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

LED Headlights - my experience fitting them

Mike, Thanks for the reco. Don't often ride at night but the light output is EXCELLENT and beam pattern is identical to stock. Also like the white light color vs. the stock with yellowish tinge. I was worried about the LEDs throwing CANBUS codes but so far no issues.

LED Headlights - my experience fitting them

Most who want them have already fitted LEDs but here's my experience: 1. Got Fahren H7s ($40)from Amazon based upon recommendations on this forum. 2. Removed windshield, instrument cluster, mirrors and upper instrument console (use a small screw driver to release the plastic locks holding the...

Need advice - looking at a 2012 RSS, what to watch for?

Mark, I'd be very careful about replacing light bulbs with LEDs. Unbelievably, they were the cause of a VSS code/limp home mode!! Here's my saga: https://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?131230-VSS-Error-Message-(2X)&highlight=PhilY

Clip name for the oil panel clip attachment

Believe those are just clip nuts. Size is M6x1. Amzon: https://www.amazon.com/OAUTOO-Extruded-M6-1-0-11503714-11503716/dp/B09WKFXD1L/ref=sr_1_4?crid=QEB6IZX5EXB0&keywords=clip+nuts+m6+x1&qid=1662581064&sprefix=clip+nuts+m6+x1%2Caps%2C150&sr=8-4 OR, are you talking about the quarter-turn bolts...

Clip name for the oil panel clip attachment

Not certain exactly what you're looking for but in the parts links, above, they're simply called "clips." On Amazon, they're called "clip nuts" or "u nuts." Assuming it's just to attach the tupperware, the size is M6x1. HERE.

    Finally installed BajaRon's Sway Bar!

As have many here, I finally installed Ron's swaybar on my 2012 RS-S which allegedly had an "upgraded" bar compared with the GS/RS. Installation was uneventful and the instructions were spot on. Took it for a ride in the twisties to the North Shore today and the results were subtle but...

Has anyone done a Y Pipe wrap?

So for those who wrapped: did it make any difference in under tupperware heat?

Seat/Frunk release cable addition - where do you put the handle?

On my 2012 RSS, there is a panel on the left side secured only by 1/4 turn screws which exposes the oil tank, et al. I ran the cables to this location as they'd be accessible w/o any tools and with little problem. Your RTL may be different. Sorry, IDK.

Change the Brake Fluid & quoted $780.60 - Any suggestions?

You can do it yourself like I did. Start with the brake furthest from the resevoirs. Keep topping them up so you don't get any air in the system. Don't forget to do the VSS, a block mounted in front of the engine on the center frame--you'll see brake lines going into it with a bleeder screw on...

Troop, Love Wilburs on my BMW motorcycle. They're simply better than stock in every way. Hope you like yours!!

    Spyder Covers-Buyer Beware

Sealskin advertises Spyder Supreme covers as gray, multi-layered, breathable, fleece-lined and shows pics of a dimpled surface, much like many car covers. Here's their webpage. What I got was black, appears to be a single layer, thin, no lining with a smooth surface. Tried to get an adjustment...

Stuck Seat Release on RT? This might help!

In anticipation of the key release or cable not working, I wired redundant bike cables to the release latches for the seat and frunk, to be accessible under the left side service panel (the one held by quarter-turn screws). Cheap and easy insurance.
