• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Today I tried navigation via BRP Go (2024+)...

I'll ask the obvious question, and hope I'm not insulting your intelligence: Is that 6" cable a USB data cable, or is it simply a charging cable? Test it by connecting your phone to a computer with it.

Having a blast, but have you noticed these Spyders Take an Effort To Ride?!

It is quick. I took my Spyder on a ride with the Cleveland BMW owners club down into WV. We like to ride the curvy roads in a "spirited" fashion. I didn't have much trouble keeping up with them. I was very new to my Spyder at the time, and it had (and still has) the OEM tires and anti-sway bar...

Smoke from the Canadian Wildfires reaching Wisconsin - anyone/anywhere else in the lower 48?

Yesterday the smoke was very bad in most of Northeast Ohio. Today, it's not as bad, but still very noticeable both visually and by smell. And it smells like burning plastic.

My Uncle was hurt in this 2026 RTL Crash!

    Praying for your uncle!

Any suggestions on good Ear protection for lowering wind noise?

I use Ear Peace plugs. Really cuts wind/road/engine noise, but I still hear the intercom, can take phone calls, etc.

Something handy - Harbor Freight Headlamp

I have something similar I wear while working on my vehicles, it's very helpful. Also if I'm working in the yard around dusk I'll put it on. Don't wear it around people, because you'll blind them for sure.

2023 vs 2024-26 Spyder RTL - Worth it?

From what I've read, BRP improved the overall operation of the Spyder in 2024 with regards to the reverse throttle operation. (Twisting backwards on the throttle, i.e., trying to close it MORE than zero, activates an electrical switch). What I've found on my 2024 that seems to be lacking on...

    Random thought for the day

    Exactly!!!

Rodents chose my 16 RTL as a home

My 2003 Beemer is from that era. Fortunately is seems to be just the outer sheath that's affected; the actual wire insulation is okay. And so far the rodents have left my vehicles alone, but I know I've just been lucky. I'm definitely going to get some peppermint oil.

And your point is? I'd rather wear cargo pants than a cross-body bag.

What kind of navigation do you use on your Canyon, especially when you are out of cell phone service.

Over the past 7 years I have tried three different Android phones in a handlebar mount, charging either by USB cord or wirelessly. In all cases, in the summertime the phone overheated and quit charging, and then the battery died. This is not reliable for navigation. Now I have a BMW Navigator V...

Anyone else have these Smoked LED Tail Lights for an F3-S? Any ideas to stop the hyper-blinking?

9.1 Ω represents a 15W load, 8 Ω represents an 18W load. Maybe that extra 3 watts was enough to convince the light controller that a good bulb is present.

Just When You Think You've Seen It All...

T-CLOCS applies to Spyders as well as 2-wheel motorcycles. Except for the "S"; no need to check the stands

Is this Rubber band feeling from stop normal? Don't notice it again once started...

My 2024 RTL does that. To me it seems like the drive train controller is feathering the clutch. Maybe the clutch is a bit grabby when it's cold?

Confusing info in the users guide - am I missing something, or what?

On my 2024 Spyder RTL the high beam switch on the back of the left handlebar switch gear flips out away from the housing to turn on the high beams. Flip it back in to go back to low beams. Press the switch in (it's spring loaded) to flash the high beams; they are on as long as you hold the switch.
