• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Recommend any Floorboards for Canyons?

I have been following other web sites on floorboards for my Canyon Redrock. As of yet, there are no recommendations for any Canyon users. I had floorboards on my previous Canyon Am Spyder and they were great. Great place to put your feet on long rides for changing body position and protection...

Having trouble opening/lifting the Drivers Seat - anyone else? Any fixes/solutions?

I had some service work done yesterday at Ken’s Sports, Green Bay on my Canyon Redrock, first one sold by them. Excellent service. I requested the small cable to be installed for problems with my seat removal-install process and they honored my request. Wisdom for solution came from this forum...

Enjoying my Redrock with Unlimited access to all roads!

Just spoke with a friend from Arizona last week. As a former active member of a OHV club we spoke about maintenance of the “ Arizona Peace Trail”. The 620 mile Arizona Peace Trail was formed by a number of OHV clubs support and Government. I am surprised at how cooperation with private business...

Any experience or ideas on Increasing Ground Clearance on the Canyon Models?

Change will take time. Key words are intelligent vehicle, driving safety field, obstacle avoidance, and path planning. Smoothness and compliance with vehicle motion characteristics will come from the rider. Kinematic and dynamic constraints for driving characteristics of a static obstacle...

Any experience or ideas on Increasing Ground Clearance on the Canyon Models?

You are correct on the tow strap. I carry my 3 tie down straps for anchoring my previous Can Am Spyder for trailering. No Can Am Spyder can be towed. I have yet to see a method on this web site or any other site how to get a Can Am Spyder Canyon “unstuck”. On our web site there are several...

Any experience or ideas on Increasing Ground Clearance on the Canyon Models?

Two great videos on Can Am Spyder Canyon and agree with both narrators a lot. The ride and customer will determine the Canyon’s future. The education process is just beginning for future riders on the Canyon when they go in desolate areas or cross country road trips in USA. It would be nice if...

What kind of navigation do you use on your Canyon, especially when you are out of cell phone service.

I have hiked the Grand Canyon, jeeped most States, and I am just starting my Canyon adventure. On all three modes of transportation, I have used my iPhone with GAIA and preloaded maps. I have been riding motorcycles for over 60 years. Not an expert but love to play on my toys. My best friend, my...

Any experience or ideas on Increasing Ground Clearance on the Canyon Models?

Thank you for pointing out the frustration. Only Can Am, Dealerships and certified Parts Manufacturers can improve the Canyon for the public use on all roads as an Adventure Motorcycle. The Canyon is very close on ground clearance , 6.3”, to other adventure motorcycles. Undercarriage...

Any experience or ideas on Increasing Ground Clearance on the Canyon Models?

Just sent adventure bike photo from Harley. What I asked for is modifications for Can Am Spyder Canyon that Can Am or its dealerships can provide for their customers. Thank you for all the extra information, it has been great, but…. Please write more times the Can Am Spyder Canyon is not a OHV...

Any experience or ideas on Increasing Ground Clearance on the Canyon Models?

Everyone has an opinion. Great video on a snowmobile conversion. The guy is a great mechanic and fabricator. Before Dirt Bike wrote a review on the Can Am Spyder Canyon they had to write 100 times the Canyon is not a OHV. We are now at 95 times, some people are slower learners. Not every...

Any experience or ideas on Increasing Ground Clearance on the Canyon Models?

Peter, great video. Yes the Canyon is not a Spyder. Yes the Canyon is not a true Adventure Bike. Driving gravel roads in LaPaz and Mojave Counties AZ for almost 20 years after a heavy rain in certain spots you will be swept away in or on any vehicle. Can Am or other suppliers need to listen...

Any experience or ideas on Increasing Ground Clearance on the Canyon Models?

Research on ground clearance for other motorcycles adventure models (Honda, BMW, Harley, and Ducati) vary from 6.9”-8.6”. Two other methods of lift for a motorcycle are a suspension lift or a lift kit. The other, as mentioned earlier, is tires. I read in an earlier post how a member raised his...

Any experience or ideas on Increasing Ground Clearance on the Canyon Models?

Thank you for response. The number of machines (Canyons) sold, used, and their owner's needs will determine future developments. I have only a few years experience, but since 1967 and working at Harley’s Capital Drive Plant for two summers while going to college, motorcycles (Can Am Spyder 2007)...

Any experience or ideas on Increasing Ground Clearance on the Canyon Models?

We are up to 3 responses, you have 97 more times. The Can Am Spyder is not an off road machine, as written by several professionals, Can Am, and myself. We are on the second year of the Canyon model and looking for experienced riders comments and not inexperienced opinions. Your opinion is...

Any experience or ideas on Increasing Ground Clearance on the Canyon Models?

All road conditions are different. Weather, time of year, and maintenance of graded gravel roads. There are some excellent articles written for riders by professionals (DirtBike, etc) on how the Can Am Spyder Canyon is NOT an OHV vehicle. Driving on maintained roads is what we are looking for...
