• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    New Owner of SpyderLovers.com 02-19-2026

I have had three 2018's starting in the fall of 2020, and still have two. I have learned a lot here in the 5+ years. Godspeed to you! 😇

Prepping for the ultimate riding season - have I missed anything?

South of Fort Bagg is Hwy 20 back to the 101, to make loop. Use a micro fiber cloth on the straps going through the wheels.

Prepping for the ultimate riding season - have I missed anything?

I spent my last year and a half in the USCG at Point Arena Loran A Station, Summer of 1967 to Jan 1969. So I have driven Hwy 1 a lot. In 2024 on my relocation trip of my first Spyder from Az to Wa, I came up Hwy 1 North of San Francisco. I had forgotten how twisty it was when you leave the coast...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

In Thailand back in the day, a ride in a bahtbus was one baht. Baht = 5 cents back in 1966. In Bangkok you could grab a driver and ask to go to the US military exchange and by a carton of cigarettes for a $1.20. Have the driver watch you put it under your seat, and you were golden for the whole...

2014 Spyder RT Ltd missing at just above an idle - any recommendations, other than spark plugs?

I am a year behind you and love to go vroom vroom on freeway on ramps with my Spyders, and power out of corners in a lower gear. My old body likes the feel of a power surge. My twin turbo F150 is driven the same way. I have peripheral neuropathy in both feet (thanks to Agent Orange in SE Asia...

Prepping for the ultimate riding season - have I missed anything?

Does it back in on it's own, or do you winch it in. E-track and traps over the tires is the best way to secure it to a trailer. I had the yellow Erickson wheel chocks front and back of the front tires, and it would spin the rear wheel trying to back out of the chocks. So I switched that to a...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

I climbed the 625' Loran C radio navigation tower during construction to take pictures. We were testing during that period, so the transmitter went down for me to mount, and then again to dismount. So I climbed it "hot". First is looking down at the station buildings and second one is looking...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

I drove USCG and other trucks borrowed from the AF in Sattahip Thailand for a year in 1966-67. Not only on the other side of the road, but with crazy Thai's that thought missing you by inches was the SOP.

Where is the fuel filter located on a 2015 RT-L?

Yep the coolant hoses use Oetiker clamps. I bought a set of pliers to do a coolant drain and refill, along with the fuel filter on my Champagne one before the relocation ride for Az to Wa.

Where is the fuel filter located on a 2015 RT-L?

Check the hoses while you are at it. This was on a 2018 in the Spring of 2024.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Went for a ride with my buddy Jerry. Had a highway assassin make a left turn at an intersection right in front of me while I was doing about 35 MPH. I got to test my anti lock brakes. Luckily Jerry was not right on my tail. - -

Has anyone looked at the top of the Fuel Pump from the inside? 2024 RT Limited

I do not understand the desire to carry extra fuel vs the danger that presents? I did a 6 day 1850 mile ride back in May of 2024 and fuel was never an issue. Now riding to Alaska: Average Distance: Services are typically available every 20-50 miles, but remote areas have gaps of up to 100+...

Indian is getting into the trike business.

Well at least with your feet inside the "bed" one will not put their foot down like we only had happen once on the old ATC 90 Honda and had the rear tire claw at your foot and ankle.
