• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Friend looking into Spyders, either a 2016 RT or a 2019 RTL with pretty close mileage & price - any advice/comments/concerns?

The 2019 have the fulll digital dash that I like a lot better than the pre 2018 RT's. Also if it is a chrome model, the 2019 chrome wheels are the best looking wheel ever put on a Spyder. If the price is close, it is a no brainer to get the newer one.

    Define "Old"

Carol and I did a trike ride today and are planning on another tomorrow, but she is young at 71!!!! The first week of August we have a three day trike ride planned from Western to Eastern Washington via Highway 20 and returning on 410 out on Yakima, a 559 mile ride. At 81, I am considering down...

Did an upgrade Sway Bar improve your handling? Which one? And what about Shocks?

Front tires that are not Kenda's helps a lot. Vredestein Quatrac seems to be the best, however some have had issues putting them on 2020+ models. I have Quatrac on both of my 2018's and would not put anything else on them.

Deer collision - safer on a Spyder? Thoughts? Or first-hand accounts?

I would have had a dash cam video when I hit the German Shepherd; however, that morning my dash cam kept asking me to reformat the Micro SD card...

Deer collision - safer on a Spyder? Thoughts? Or first-hand accounts?

I have a friend that is third generation in a family owned body shop and he swears that deer whistlers work.

Deer collision - safer on a Spyder? Thoughts? Or first-hand accounts?

I hit a adult German Shepherd Center/right front wheel. Had just got up to 60 and dog came out of the brush right in front of me. It was a slow motion movie, oh no move faster - I am going to hit him. $5525 bucks for tupperware (had to be painted as champagne panels were not available) and right...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Traffic in Vancouver makes it a "one and done" ride. Border crossing into Canada was quick, return to US about 20-25 minutes.

2017 RT rear trunk removal to fit extn USB cable - any instructions/hints?

I ran an USB cable from the trunk to the steering column for smart phone. GPS gets power from the provided GPS cable behind the fuel tank of the right side and this also powers a dual usb/volt meter in the switch location behind the column and the dash cam is plugged in there.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Got the insurance card in the trike up to date and put my passport in my jacket pocket. Tomorrow we are riding from Lake Stevens, Washington, to Granville Island in Vancouver, Canada for lunch and back with the in-laws and their 2014 RT. About 117 miles each way. The Beard Affair looks like...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

I spent my last year and a half in the USCG at the Loran Station at Point Arena (1967-68), so I was up down the coast a lot. May 2024 I did Highway 1 North of San Francisco to 101 and on up through Oregon on 101 on the bucket list repositioning ride on the Hooker from AZ to WA. Aways wondered...
