• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2013 Spyder RT Limited SM5 reverse works but won't back up a hill due to limiter

I feel your pain. Well, maybe not literally, but you get the idea. Been on here since 2012, and never heard of a fix on the forum. No bulletins. No fix. No solution. Operating as designed, not as desired. Just sell it. My personal theory, was that some engineer set the limit lower on the SM5...

2013 Spyder RT Limited SM5 reverse works but won't back up a hill due to limiter

All I can say is look closely at those comments from owners that have no problems. Look at their signature or bio. Many, if not all, have the SE5.

Anyone purchased an OBD Tool for a 2023 RT?

You don’t need one. The fault code reader is built in. If you have one active, go to your settings menu on the right hand display, scroll all the way down - keep going - to the item Fault Codes. It’s the last one. Navigate into the menu and read it. Has to be Active at the moment in time that...

2013 Spyder RT Limited SM5 reverse works but won't back up a hill due to limiter

Well, the specific drivability issue that the OP is describing is probably a bug, but there was no documented fix. Brand new machines were doing this - all SM5. Chatter on the forum from back around 2012 - 2013, once you sort through it all, appears to show that what the OP is describing, was...

Anyone else had an Oil Leakage Issue like this?

Well, here's some information for you. Don't know what your capabilities are at home. And yes, you can't see a whole lot in there without removing a bunch of panels. See the pics. Disappointing that your dealer DOES seem to be just picking the low hanging fruit. The starter wouldn't be on top of...

Anyone else had an Oil Leakage Issue like this?

So Kromm. In the interests of clarity… you’re standing in front of the bike, looking to the right side. That means to your right as you are looking at it, correct. Which, in other words, is the left side of the bike, same side as the left front wheel and left turn signal?

Licence plate lens needed - anybody have any UK source/supply ideas? Any original manufacturer or commonality with other units?

Didn't really have a problem. According to your Operator’s Guide, Pic #1 shows the rear end of the 2023 European F3S. Is it correct? Pic 2 shows the parts catalog picture and Pic 3 shows the part number. 71 bucks US. Don’t expect to be able to buy only the plastic lens from BRP. It doesn’t work...

Severe Front end wobble while braking at slow speed - anyone else? Any thoughts?

It shifted left and right, but only below 10MPH, and then fixed itself? Rotors get blamed for everything. And then you actually check them and find out they are ok. I'd visit the front wheel mounting and retorque them right now, before I worried about rotors. And check the lower ball joints and...

Complete BUDS3 V800 kit now available from PowerSports Diagnostics

Maybe this chart is worth posting again. The dealers log into the mother ship system to check for updates. Last fall, BUDS2 was de-activated on their computers when that system automatically installed BUDS3. They have to use BUDS3 on the applicable model years, now. As a private individual, your...

Complete BUDS3 V800 kit now available from PowerSports Diagnostics

Yes, updating that display requires being connected with two cables at once. One cable is the usual BUDS2 connection to the Spyder's diagnostic (BUDS) port and back to the laptop's USB port. The second cable is a Male - Male USB cable connected to the Spyder's USB port and back to another...

Does anyone know the 2022 Spyder Sea To Sky's overall height? (for garage/storage clearance)

57.6 would be with Windshield height all the way down. Just measured my 23. Eye ball. Windshield up - you’ll clear if you have 62”. It’s a tad over 61. Windshield down - you’ll clear if you have 59”. It’s a tad over 58.

No fuel pressure but fuel is flowing from tank - 2013 RS won't start, any help?

Well done. Looks like plenty of pressure. That may help a lot of people in the future...all wanting to borrow your camera.

Is there a List of Fault Code explanations? (I just got U220E!)

Well, that’s exactly what I mean. The check engine light and the codes are not keeping you from shifting. They’re just telling you that you can’t shift right now. The light being on is not the reason why. Making the light go out doesn’t fix anything…unless, of course, you actually fix something...

Is there a List of Fault Code explanations? (I just got U220E!)

No. Because codes are just a notification of what’s wrong. They don’t cause the problem. They have no control functions. Erasing codes don’t actually fix anything. They’ll just come right back. It’s that fundamental trap that many fall into - first response is to want to clear the code. You’ve...
