• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Does anybody have a photo or sketch of how the Springs on the Stop light switch subject to the recall should look/be fitted, please?

Hey Flier. That larger coil spring on the cable side is a helper spring that assists in pulling the switch back in when you release the brake pedal. That was added by the recall. It wasn't there before. But, you have a 2021 RT. Per the Recall, you were supposed to get a new replacement Brake...

2011 RSS. Has a squeaking sound in the lower left rear at lower speeds - any ideas what it might be?

Well, you're a good guy that gives a Spyder a good home. Now then, let's look up stuff and not go by memory. You have two different types of bearings on the rear wheel. The sprocket bearing is a double row bearing because it takes the stress of the belt tension. The wheel bearings are standard...

Does anyone have any OEM Part #'s for trailer harnesses? Or know of an A/mkt shop to order from?

Looks like the previous owner removed his BRP trailer module with the 9-pin round connector from his older RT, and installed it onto his 2017 so that he could keep pulling his RT-622 with the 9-pin tongue harness. I think I remember that guy. Now you're the one stuck with it. If that module you...

Has anyone had their parking brake motor replaced? Finally resolved?

Thanks Bill, appreciate it. I’m sure you know your way around a Spyder pretty well, also. In this particular case, every 2018 and 2019 F3 and RT, potentially have a defective parking brake motor. The Warranty Campaign to replace the motor for his 2018 F3, was effective until January 31, 2023...

Has anyone had their parking brake motor replaced? Finally resolved?

Hey D. Well, I guess I'm going to have to be on the other side of the aisle on this, as much as I’d love to blame a ham-fisted tech at a dealership, this probably isn't the case. To begin with, you've been having this intermittent parking brake disengage issue since 2019. (went back through...

Anyone else got a Pool of Water in the Frunk? Any fixes?

The fuse boxes have two covers, as you know. The inner one seals the fuse box. The outer one seals the rear wall of the frunk. There’s that. The battery compartment cover bottom side has to fit inside of the brackets to hold the seal tight against the frunk wall. That's typically mispositioned...

Parking Brake Light Will Not Turn Off - but Parking Brake works! Any ideas?

Hey Leon, start simple and work your way up. As stated above, low fluid level also causes that light to stay on steady when the parking brake is disengaged, 99% of the time, that's the only issue. Top off both chambers in the reservoir (see Pic), check the diaphragm under the cap to ensure that...

2016 Spyder F3 hard starting when hot.

Sigh! Hey Woof. It looks like the Mods have merged your other thread with this one, and now we can refresh our memory to the whole story. Sorry to say, but it looks like, to me, that this entire saga was mostly self inflicted. The number one rule of thumb for solving any operational problem or...

2016 Spyder F3 hard starting when hot.

Self starting problem with the key off???? I don't even want to know! If you made some electrical mods to your machine in the past, maybe it's time to undo those. When Pre-Start Relay, R2 (left) energizes, it applies full battery voltage from F8 (left) to the starter motor. The return to ground...

2016 Spyder F3 hard starting when hot.

Well, when you hit the start button, like you were going to do a normal startup, is the coil side of the solenoid getting voltage from the pre-start relay?

2016 Spyder F3 hard starting when hot.

So, where is the solenoid on an F3? Up there beside the battery? How about just doing a quick solenoid bypass first and see if the starter runs. Removal - Just remove the power wire, remove the two mounting bolts and pull it straight out of the case. I'm sure that you can figure out how to get...

UK Spec 2016 RTL - Is there any way to keep Low Beam on with the High Beam lights?

Googled Lord Lucan. Still LOL. Ok, so he cut the Red/Blue wire and soldered it to the Grey/Orange wire. The problem for you is that this switch layout goes all the way back to the GS and early RS days. I noticed that the video was 12 years old and found it in the 09 drawing. That was when the...

Broke the front splitter when backing the F3 off the trailer. What's the Best replacement solution?

I can't get the attachment to work. Which part item number do you need?

USB Power Outlet doesn't change from Switched to Un-Switched when fuse moved. Anyone else? Any fix?

Hey Star. When you unplug a cigarette style power outlet, there is no load at all. When you unplug a USB device from a USB adapter, I believe there is still a bit of parasitic drain from the electronics inside that are converting 12v to USB spec power. That USB outlet in the top case is not...

USB Power Outlet doesn't change from Switched to Un-Switched when fuse moved. Anyone else? Any fix?

Which outlet? That fuse switch only applies to the right side “GPS” outlet, and the accessory outlet that can be installed in the Frunk. It does not apply to the USB outlets in the top case.
