I admired the Spyders when they first came out in 2008 and thought they were neat. Step forward a few years and I finally got a chance to test ride a 2013 RT. The test ride only lasted for about 1 mile, but I thought that would be a nice option when I get "older". Then in February 2014, my riding buddy ordered a new 2014 RT and let me ride it on one of our day trips to the mountains. I still wasn't impressed, but in September of 2014 I had an accident on my 2 wheeler and the wife was set on me giving up riding altogether. The next week, I ordered a new 2014 RT and that started my sickness. I currently have a 2021 RTL and a 2016 F3L Special Edition and wouldn't give them up for anything. I have since also been back on 2 wheels and have a 2019 BMW K1600B which is the best 2 wheeler that I have ever ridden. But if I had to make a choice, I think I would have to narrow it down to one of the Spyders and letting 2 wheels go all together. I did a 9,045 mile cross country trip 6 weeks ago and there is no way that would have been as comfortable on any 2 wheeler that I have ever owned.
Not stating anything that others here don't know. And although some will not agree, I think when it comes to open air enjoyment, there is nothing like riding these 3 wheels.
