There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. 2024 RT L back at the dealer for the 9th time in 3 months!! How long until you give up?

This is what I would do if I were in your shoes - I would mention to the dealership that they better get the problem fixed on the first try. I would not give the dealership a 2nd chance.

The above is my 2 cents worth.

I would have the dealership open a case with BRP.

The RT is in the shop. The battery was replaced during a previous repair.

While I do appreciate all the advice given, one thing bugs me... I see, not just in this thread but throughout this whole forum, there's quite a bit of ragging on dealers or at least questioning dealers abilities and practices.
Certainly in the world of power sports there is a lot of work that is done by people that aren't fully qualified. I've seen plenty myself. And I've done plenty myself - (my own machines only).
Where I get a little ornery is when the blame is placed a dealer from someone half a continent away who hasn't dealt with my dealer, hasn't talked to the techs, hasn't seen the shop or had any work done by them.
My dealer has been in business selling only BRP/Can Am products for over 20 years. They are 4.5 stars on Google if that means anything. They have worked hard to resolve my problems but more and more problems surface. I couldn't ask for a better dealer. I have been a champion for my dealer from the start of my issues. Why? They have done right by me. They have fixed my issues but more and more problems keep surfacing.
No, my dealer is not the problem

I bought the Spyder for retirement touring around Canada and the US. You can give me a hundred years of extended warranty, but when a machine keeps breaking down confidence in using it drops to zero. I don't want to take it to the grocery store for fear of it dying on me let alone across Canada.
Sorry but if they screwed up a simple sway bar installation and required two more visits to get that right, THEY ARE NOT a competent service location for Spyders and they ARE the problem.

I guess I would have to ask, why must you wait for a '26? There have to be some '25's still on the shelf at a
I had my dealer have look at inventory while I was there yesterday and across Canada they said it was something like 5 or 7 RTL's available . Only one isn't black... I'm not crazy about black... particularly matte. The last one is Silver but no one knows if there's any conditions on it etc.

The reality is that BRP has said they are going to make things right, but we've only agreed to the direction we're headed in to close the chapter. We haven't started bargaining over the details. There will be a few more sunrises and sunsets before all is said and done. My window for the long distance riding I had planned to do over the Spring and Summer is now gone. Those are the trips I live for, so if I'm not riding much from now until Spring, that's OK.

My new in crate 2024 RT L was purchased exactly 3 months ago. I have had the machine in at the dealer 9 times. I've experienced mysterious shutting down for no reason requiring the battery to be disconnected to restart. Suspension faults due to improper assembly, alternator shaft requires replacement. VSS faults and limp mode. Improper installation of accessories by what I honestly call a good dealer. I've had it towed once and jump started 3 times. I've had to cut vacations short due to mechanical issues. And yesterday I was blessed with 5 VSS alarms and a limp home code.
I bought this vehicle in good faith to enjoy my retirement. I had intended to tow a trailer and circumnavigate North America but I don't trust it to go around the block.
The dealer, has been good - to a point - when I had them install the BajaRon sway bar they screwed the installation and subsequently I had to return Twice(!) to have the install fixed.
My dealer is trying to get BRP to pony up something for all this grief but from my point of view what good is it if I don't trust the bike to make it home.

Thanks for listening folks. Don't mean to be a downer. I absolutely love riding the Spyder but I used to love my ex too...

Thoughts?
Graderman, hate to tell you this, but you have a lemon! There are "Lemon Laws". I'd return it because this Spyder needs to go back to BRP to be torn down and find out why. BRP needs to find out why; was it from the factory or the Dealership?

I would also find a different Dealership!

After many very long months of trials and tribulations with the RT L, I can finally move on.
I’ll leave the details out of this thread, but will let everyone know that yesterday afternoon I rode home on a new 2024 F3 Limited.
BRP did come through, realized that yes indeed, the RT was a Lemon. Even without Lemon Laws in Canada they did replace the RT L at no expense to me.
I did switch from RT to F3 as the F3 was available immediately (sort of! - maybe I’ll expand on that later).
My interactions with BRP and the dealer were mixed. I won’t go into any details in this post.
It feels good to finally have this chapter behind me.

Thanks for all your support folks!
