• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Have you mounted a remote bus bar away from the battery? Where did you put it?

I searched but did not find any relevant threads where this has been discussed. Have any of you mounted a remote bus bar from the battery? Space being limited as it is, a strategic location somewhere "convenient" to connect warming gear power cables for both riders is what I'm trying to find.
Thanks!

A while back, I ordered an accessory fuse block kit that I hope to install later this year that can provide power for those items... You might take a look at one of those?! Then I'd run the wires from out under the seat(s) when needed.

I made my own and located it behind the zip down area of the frunk above the battery. I made one 12v bus relay enabled with the key switch and one direct to the battery and a third was a common ground. Bought the components on Amazon. Hooked the coil of the relay to the accessory terminal used for GPS power.

I have two Gerbing heated jacket liner cables hooked to the switched terminal, and I have a battery tender cable and and outlet for charging my two Cardo communicators and connecting a cell phone to the unswitched terminal block, both located in the frunk. All rated for 15amps. Works well.

Mind if I PM you for specifics?

I made a switched power bus with a 30 amp relay and #12 wire with four Anderson 30 amp power pole connectors (everything I have uses the same connector). I mounted it behind the easiest pull out panel to remove, only requires you to lift the seat.

Great! Where did you mount the relay and bus bar?

Here, it is better to just show you. I need to learn to document these thing when I build them, at least this one is very easy to get to. I already had a 30 amp fused circuit running up through here, so it was easy to build a relay driven by switched power into the line. It even has room for one more plugin.

No problem, here are a couple of pictures of my installation. 3 connections, top center is ground, bottom two are switch and unswitched 12v relay mounted under the ground bus bar. Other picture is my charging station for my two Cardo units and an un-activated cell phone that I use as an Mp3 player and the red wire is my charging connection to the battery. Only one extra terminal in the battery connections using this method.

My goodness, that's an incredibly well arranged and secured modification. Well done sir!!

Nice Bus bars, you are way neater than I am!
