• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Random thought for the day

Jack London died on this date in 1916. An appropriate quote from him

"The proper function of man is to live, not exist. I shall not waste my days trying to prolong them. I shall use my time."

He must have been a biker.....
Jack London's life was filled with adventures, including working as an oyster pirate, a sailor, and a gold-seeker in the Yukon, where he endured harsh conditions. His adventures also took him across the globe as a war correspondent in Asia, living in the slums of London, and sailing on a circumnavigation attempt. These experiences directly inspired his writing, which detailed his firsthand knowledge of poverty, struggle, and survival.

"It is not death that a man should fear, but rather he should fear never beginning to live," --- Marcus Aurelius

IT people have a term for that: PEBCAK

And when I used to work at Autozone, we would sometimes determine that a customer's problem was actually a loose nut behind the wheel.

Back in the day, in the 'multi-disciplinary teams' I worked with, we always called those - 'I.D. 10 T Operator Errors'... :sneaky:

Mind you, often enough, it was one of us 'operators' on the team who was the ID10T Operator! 😖 We were pretty good at that sorta stuff back then, and all these years later, I still have my moments! 😜

Have lil fun with that:
Report have an ID error : 10T
Takes them a min to arrange the prefix

The first one I've left above ^ looks very much like many of the 'greens' I've played on golf courses all over the Outback back in the day (it could even be one that I've actually played??) and across the Nullarbor. Longest golf course in the World out there -1365 km/848 or so miles, par 72 - Nullarbor Links, check it out. These days, I think they might have artificial grass on at least some of the greens tho, altho even back when I was playing them, many of those sandy 'greens' did get sprayed with used sump oil or something similar in order to keep them together & stop them blowing away... 😏

And I'm sure I've had some of those chicken's Scotty is talking about... lazy little buggas! Couldn't even get out of their own way to lay anything! But I did get some chicken sandwiches eventually - hadta make them myself, tho. 🤨
