• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Mack The Knife - - Bobby Darin
Play: It originated as "Die Moritat von Mackie Messer" in the German musical The Threepenny Opera, a satire of bourgeois society.Character: Macheath (Mack the Knife) is a charming but ruthless gangster in Victorian London, preying on the vulnerable.Inspiration: The character draws from earlier works, including John Gay's 1728 The Beggar's Opera, which featured a highwayman named Captain Macheath, and historical figures like thief Jack Sheppard.

The longest night of the year!
The shortest daylight of the year occurs during the Winter Solstice, which happens around December 21st in the Northern Hemisphere (shortest day/longest night) and June 20th or 21st in the Southern Hemisphere, marking the day the Sun reaches its lowest point in the sky for that hemisphere, leading to the least amount of daylight and the longest night before days begin to lengthen again.
Key Points:
  • When: December 21st (Northern Hemisphere) or June 20/21 (Southern Hemisphere).
  • What it Is: The Winter Solstice (or December Solstice for the north) is an astronomical event.
  • Why: Earth's axial tilt (23.5 degrees) causes one hemisphere to lean farthest away from the Sun.
  • Impact: It's the astronomical start of winter, with the fewest daylight hours and longest night.
  • Afterwards: Daylight hours start increasing again as the Earth tilts back towards the Sun.
  • Culture: Historically significant, celebrated with festivals, and marked by ancient monuments like Stonehenge.
