There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Looks like you've got some rather warm (ok, so it's going to be hot depending on where you are) weather in SoCal. Based on past experience, I'd say get out and ride. Years ago, I purchased a new helmet a few weeks ahead of a 3 week trip. Wore it on my daily commute (20-30 mins each way) for a couple of those weeks to break it in. Also spent some time with it on my noggin while sitting at my computer at home each evening. It was comfortable from the start but I figured those steps would have gotten in broken in even more. But an hour down the road on the first day of my trip, I was in pain and wondering what the heck I was going to do to avoid being miserable for three weeks. I pressed on and a few more hours of heat (both from my head and the outdoor temp) apparently did the trick. I comfortably wore that helmet for many miles over the next 4 or 5 years.
I hope you mean 'start rubbing the helmet liner wherever the hot spot/pain in the forehead develops, in order to relieve the pressure on said forehead a little'!!
Actually, I pulled back the material and used a small piece of sandpaper. Helped a bit but still not 'just right' then again neither am I LOL.

I'd say the apparent result should feel the same, but there could be a difference in overall effect on the helmet. With sandpaper, you are only removing some of the foam, with the baseball/spoon method, you are compressing the foam. As to how deep that compression actually is, is unknown. I doubt either will severely compromise the helmet. I'll give the smaller pads a try first.Actually, I pulled back the material and used a small piece of sandpaper. @PDXRTL - I hear you. Fortunately, or unfortunately, depending on how you look at it, my Shoeis have always fit well from jump. This is the first helmet I've purchased since 2009 that hasn't fit well right out of the box. I'm sure I'll get it figured out one way or another.

HI Racoon,I took the Motorcycle Safety Foundations 3-Wheel Basic RiderCourse back in February, and since a helmet was required, I turned to Google to find a good helmet for someone who wears eyeglasses.
I ended up with a very nice helmet, that fit well, and did a great job at accommodating my glasses.
It was a modular helmet, with nice venting, and even had a built-in sun shield you could pull down in front of your glasses or push up out of the way.
The helmet is gray, which isn't really a problem. The problem is that it's a Harley-Davidson branded helmet, with a big Harley-Davidson logo on the back, which you can see in the second picture.
After taking the 3-wheel course I decided to buy a Can-Am Spyder, and I ended up with a Vegas White Satin 2024 RT Sea-to-Sky. A lovely matte white color, which doesn't really go well with my shiny gray Harley-Davidson helmet.
So more time with Google, and apparently the HD helmet is actually made by HJC. Even more time with Google and I settled on an HJC C91 Solid helmet, in Semi Flat Pearl White color. It arrived this morning. It has built in speaker pockets for Bluetooth communication, and it is ready for the "SMART HJC Bluetooth" system (sold separately).
A bit of time removing the SENA 3S Plus headset from the HD helmet, and the headset is now installed in the HJC helmet. The speakers for the headset are attached to the helmet with velcro circles that adhere to the inside of the helmet. When I went to install the speakers, I found that the helmet already had the round velcro circles installed for the speakers, so I just pressed the speakers into the velcro that came with the helmet, routed the wires, placed the microphone, and then plugged in the USB charging cable to give the headset a full charge.

And while the Semi Flat Pearl White color isn't an exact match to the Vegas White Satin, it's a lot closer than shiny gray.

I have a HJC I90 black helmet that I bought in 2021.
It is light weight
It has built in speaker pockets and built in channels for speakers, boom mike
it has internal drop down sun shield , which is operated by a smooth wire lever that is easy to reach on the bottom of the shell
it is Blue Tooth compatible
Low profile
Advanced Channeling Ventilation System with 7 intake vents and (2) two exhaust vents at the rear spoiler.
I like the helmet.

Mine has most of that, including the speaker pockets and wire channels, but the HJC website says the i91 supports a newer bluetooth device design. I use a SENA 3S Plus boom headset in mine.
Mine also has the drop down sunshield, which I really like. I wear glasses, and while I do have sunglasses, having to stop and switch glasses is a pain. But the sunshield is operated by a "slide" on the top.
My C91 doesn't have that many vents, just the intake vents on the top front, the "chin" vent, and some vents out the back.

HI Raccoon,Since I'm a solo rider I have no need for the intercom functions, but I do understand how useful they would be.
My main interest was in pairing with my phone and Spyder so I can hear the Apple CarPlay navigation instructions.
I am also a solo rider. I don't use the intercom functions (radio, phone calls. etc) but I do use the UClear Motion 6 to communicate with my significant other when we ride together (my significant other has their own Spyder).
