Has anyone tried an Automotive glass pack muffler on their RT?

I am curious if anyone has used an automotive type glass pack muffler in place of the monster that's on the 2023 RTL? I understand that it would take some adapting/welding, but you can't beat the price of a glass pack. And as far as the looks; with a coat of high heat paint, it couldn't look any worse than the OEM muffler.

Right on Metalman! I took a 2Bros muffler and revamped it into a glasspack with a full-length can opener style baffle and got a better sound to my liking. Also lost a lot of extra weight. I like that slight overlap sound when shifting up in gears. In front of it, I have the cat delete with the screen baffle between the cat delete and the 2Bros. I get 40 mpg consistently, if I don't get too froggy with it - 2014 RT.

How loud is that exhaust? I'm looking for something to reduce the weight and improve the appearance, and I wouldn't mind having a bike that sounds less like a sewing machine.

How loud is what? I'm sorry I didn't hear what you said. Say that again, and please speak a little louder so I can hear you. I'm a little hard of hearing these days. Must be because of all the years I spent on top of that Harley. LOL

My wife had one on her v-twin. Her 2-Brothers self destructed on a road trip and we talked a muffler shop in MO to adapt the automotive "cherry bomb" style glass pack. It was very loud but lost the harshness in the tone.

The man who made the Road Warrior cup holders a few years ago and many other accessories for the Spyder and other bikes did that to his Spyder. He made a y pipe, attached it to a cat delete pipe and ran to smaller "Cherry Bomb" style mufflers with Chrome tips. Looked nice and sounded pretty good.
I can't remember his name, but his company got started building accessories for the old Yamaha Ventures then branched out. Great guy. Last time I saw him was at D3WR in 2018. He was closing his business because no one would buy it and he wanted out after 40+ years. I wish I could remember his name or the name of his company.

I have done a lot of things to my three 2018 RTL's, however I have left the exhaust stock. Like my 2021 F150 with the 2.7L ecoboost V6 325hp/400 lb ft that pulls great when you stick your foot in the turbos without making a lot of noise, the Spyder with the 1330 ACE motor in stock form pulls well when you twist the throttle without making a lot of noise or fuss. And I am a old dude that likes to go vroom vroom.
