• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. 2026 S2S transmission failure - Anyone else having similar issues?

Randy, considering the money you've invested in a brand new top of the line bike that's been defective from day one, I'm thinking Raven nailed it. The dealership needs to get on the horn with BRP and give you another bike. Then you can go on your merry way and they can take their sweet time figuring out what's wrong with this one.

Anyone have issues with the transmission on their Spyder? I have 1000 miles on my 2026 S2S and have had it towed twice to the dealer, it just goes into Neutral, both times while I was traveling 70 mph.
Not sure my dealer has a clue what the issue is.

I have had a similar issue on my 2025 Spyder RT S-S. At 2000 miles, it started as a "Parking Brake Failure," then I got both that message on the dash with "Transmission Failure." Had to disconnect the parking brake linkage to push it onto the trailer to be towed to the dealer. After a week, the shop said it's fixed... but they didn't know why/how. They took a number of things apart, re-assembled it, and it worked. They did open a case with Can Am, and they said they involved a corporate tech, but nothing specific could be diagnosed. Hmmm.

Now, after 5000 trouble free miles (7000 total) I've got the same set of errors coming up, so it's going to be towed to the dealer again. Not sure where to go with this. I love the bike, but I can not live with the possibility of being stranded, or the stress of just not knowing when it's going to fail again. I feel powerless here, and I don't think shouting at the service manager would help. He's a good guy, but not a technical wizard. Is there a BRP entity I could complain to??? This is a sad situation.

I have a number in my phone contact list for BRP Consumer Support, (715) 848-4957, that I believe I called when my touring partner's transmission output shaft crapped out at the D3WR in July. Someone at that number, or BRP's main number, (888) 272-9222, should be able to tell you the number or email address to contact in order to get BRP to open a case with your dealership and get the problem solved on BRP's nickel, as the bloody machine is under factory warranty. The most important factors are to keep emotion out of the discourse, have dates, times, and, if possible mileages and what the dealership has said when they attempted to service the roadster on hand/record to show that you are an owner who has his stuff together and simply cannot get the dealership to be proactive about solving the problem.

I should also add that the dealership is hoping the upcoming recall for the display screen blanking out (downloading new computer code I guess) will be the "fix" for this issue. I don't think so. So at this point, after six months of riding a top-of-the-line 2025 S2S, I have now had to have it towed twice, plus I have the display screen going blank when I'm riding (a harrowing experience), plus it exhibits the loud "chirping" noise when moving from a standing start (this is normal says the dealer and apparently BRP). To say I'm disgusted is an understatement!!!
