There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.
Rear tire options - any suggestions?

I replaced the stock rear Kenda tire on my Canyon with a Vredestien Quadtrac 5 at about 8,500 miles. I was hoping for greater hydroplaning resistance. It has worked great; we haven't had a drop of rain since. However, the new tire has performed very well on dry pavement. I have the pressure set at 18 lbs.

I have installed the General Altimax RT45 225/60 R15 (not the stock 225/50 R15) in the rear of the 2014 RT. What I like so much about this particular size is that it fixes the variance between the real (GPS-based) speed and the odometer which was always ~10% off (faster than actual) speed. Now my speedometer and GPS are totally in sync, giving me peace of mind.
