I saw a Spyder today near Orrville, Oh. Oh wait, no it was a Harley trike. Never mind then.![]()
What?! Was it travelling downhill in Reverse and being blown along faster than a slow walk by a hurricane force wind?!
I thought the Harley trikes not only RODE like an unsprung cart, and a whole lot different to a Spyder; but they also LOOKED a whole lot different to a Spyder too - especially with regard to which end the two wheels were at!!
Just Sayin'![]()
At first when I saw it coming at me all I saw was the outline. I'm thinking Spyder for obvious reasons. When it got closer, obviously it wasn't but I thought it was kinda funny. It's crazy how some riders will buy anything from the marketing company just because of the name. What?! We arrived from IL & IA at the height of the storm Wednesday. In a low area, my RTL reverted back into a Ski-Doo with all 3 tires floating on water, very scary! I understand the vendor area had major damage and they were having a dent and scratch sale of display bikes that were being stored under tents. The highlight of the trip was the Veteran's ride on Friday, with over 500 bikes. They took us to the Ozark International Raceway where we did a hot lap in formation. This year was even hotter than last year, which I didn't think was possible. Our ride schedule had to be changed to morning rides, then pool time in afternoon. On Saturday afternoon we even took the boat out. I thought Can-Am was really well represented at theI am currently at the Lakes of the Ozark's Bike Rally. Today I saw at lest a dozen Spyders at different points around the rally. That includes the vender area at the HD dealership.
Saw a Blue 2014-2017 RTL Chrome get on the 60 Westbound in Apache Junction with two-up riders, helmets, and short sleeved shirts a few minutes after 9am.
So, is that unusual to see an early model RTL in Apache Junction on October 3rd?
Back in 2010 when this thread started, that might have been unusual, but 16 years later it would take a Unicorn sighting!
It's unusual to see any Spyder in my neck of the woods. I've seen maybe 10 all summer. I live and ride in rural Ohio, maybe that's why?!So, is that unusual to see an early model RTL in Apache Junction on October 3rd?
