• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Just asking a question here, so don't go reading anything into it - is a mobile app in the works?

Peter thank you for your responses. I've enjoyed the discussion and learned along the way.

Can the "Resources" tab on the new SL website be used for this?

Thank you, Peter. I pretty much guessed that to be true, which is why I suggested using the resources tab as a workaround. I think it could work in a limited way and I'm not sure I understand why you think it wouldn't; can we at least give it a try? It has the advantages of already being in...

Just asking a question here, so don't go reading anything into it - is a mobile app in the works?

In the sticky header, the webmaster says things are coming soon. The statement is undated so I'm not sure when things might happen. E.g. "There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain...

Can the "Resources" tab on the new SL website be used for this?

Forum Support & Testing I thought was for Technical Support? I wasn't expecting to involve Anthony G in this, as I'm sure he has enough to do without being asked to make changes to a nonprofit website. No, rather I'm suggesting that in the absence of a vendor/sponsor portion of the website, we...

Can the "Resources" tab on the new SL website be used for this?

Before I get started, let me make clear a couple of points; a) I am new to this new website, having been away from SpyderLovers for almost 3 years, during which time the feature-rich old website that I had learned to use was replaced by this one, which I don't know how to use, b) I'm not...

    Is the Rider Map functioning?

Okay. Now I know. Thanks. I thought that might be the case, but I don't like to assume anything.

New Member Intro & Questions re Upcoming Purchase Decision

Regarding the legroom; there are aftermarket options that provide more room for the driver at the expense of passenger comfort, which isn't an issue unless you need to provide for a less than tiny passenger. Regarding reliability; there are some model years that are exceptionally well dialed in...

    Random thought for the day

Apparently this is a well-circulated meme playing up the notion that women go to the public bathroom to socialize and men don't, BLA being short for BLAH as in blah, blah, blah.

Laser Alignment Issues with all A/mkt Wheels - they won't accept alignment tools? Anyone heard this before??

That makes sense. If memory serves, their facilities in Montana are somewhat limited, so Joe doesn't work on Spyders while they are up there.

    Is the Rider Map functioning?

It does, but I thought there was a Spyderlovers map showing where members are located. It's been a few years so I don't remember exactly, but there is this forum discussion still in the forum with threads and posts up until a couple of years ago. Maybe Peter Aawen can shed some light?

    Random thought for the day

Is there some meaning to BLA other than blah, blah, blah? Inquiring minds want to know.

300 miles in temps over 105 with low humidity ... dangerous

I think since the ignition was in the On position when it broke off, by holding the fob part close, we were able to start it. When we got back home, the dealer replaced the assembly under the extended warranty. That's what I remember anyway.

    Is the Rider Map functioning?

There's a forum for the Rider Map, but there's no current posts, or a link to the map that I can see. But the forum discussion is still there and active (we're currently on it).

    Is the Rider Map functioning?

Maybe I just don't know where to look?

What did you do to/with your Spyder today?

I am not pushing my views or opinions on anyone. I am just suggesting (as others have on this forum) that in evaluating the risk factors of riding without benefit of a steel cage, Spyder riders I think have much less chance of encountering a situation where being dumped onto the pavement at...

I want to give a "thumbs up" to my Can Am Dealer

That's a keeper. You're very fortunate. And, their shop rate is on the low end these days.

Laser Alignment Issues with all A/mkt Wheels - they won't accept alignment tools? Anyone heard this before??

Squared Away is in Las Vegas the last I heard. 450 miles away from Salt Lake City, I'm afraid. Has anyone heard from Joe or Ann lately? What is his name or shop name? We're in San Diego every winter.

300 miles in temps over 105 with low humidity ... dangerous

I didn't know about Pedialyte before. Here is what Google says about it Pedialyte is an over-the-counter oral rehydration solution scientifically formulated to quickly and effectively restore vital fluids and essential electrolytes lost from dehydration. [1, 2, 3] What Is Inside Key...
