• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Conventional vs Reverse Trike Discussion

After getting used to the tiller steering of a Spyder over the counter steering of a motorcycle, within the Spyder's limits it feels planted and stable, even two up. I took a test ride on a Harley trike, a new one with the independent rear suspension. Trying to ride at normal Spyder speeds it...

Ikon Front Shocks - Who Uses 'Em & What Do You Think?

I don't think you do need to replace everything. I think the Spyder was designed to be suitable for the initial cautious rider who needs to adapt to the bike, so it tends to feel a little bit soft to keep such riders within their limits. As you get used to it, a better sway bar possibly becomes...

Is anyone else having Issues logging on?

Have you tried deleting all your browser's cookies etc, then restarting your system. I'd make sure you try not using a VPN and delete any third party firewall or windows security software. Just use the windows firewall, no third party software and go back to basics. I'm making an assumption...

What did you do to/with your Spyder today?

I tend to go a bit above peak torque so that when I change up the next gear is pulling close to 5,000 rpm so it is pulling close to peak torque in the next gear. I'm always riding two up and above 5,000 feet (so I'm about 10-15% down on power), so it takes a while to get back into the power...

If you’ve not logged on for a while and you still have the website open, try refreshing the page.

I have a mildly annoying problem while riding - phone won't bluetooth when plugged in to charge - are there any iPhone experts out there who can help?

The 1-1/4” bar risers I have fitted unfortunately don’t allow for a mount in the center of the bars.

    Lucky Seven - 7 weeks, 14 states, 21 Rides

I rode along Highway 12 down to Escalante earlier in the year. I’m terrified of heights. On the way down, I got on the most exposed part of the ridge when we were in the clouds as a torrential storm started along with thunder and lightning. On the way back we were subject to gale force winds...

Going to go there tomorrow. It’s always a nice ride. We’ll do Cascade Springs next week.

Looking for 2026 RT Ltd or Sea to Sky equipment recommendations, brands/makes of phone mounts & cup/bottle holders, and a decent Half Cover?

I bought the following phone mount from BRP's Can Am accessories website: Peak Design Phone Holder SKU # 219401317 In order to attach the magnetic piece that glues to your phone, I instead I use a clear, smooth surface phone holder to glue it to as I don't want to mess up my actual...

Feedback on Ultimate Seats Low Profile Passenger Backrest vs the OEM Passenger backrest with arms, or mounting the OEM backrest straight onto trunk?

We just upgraded to a '26 S2S this year, and my wife says the seat is a 100% better. I don't think the dimensions have changed much, but she says she's a lot more comfortable than our prior '21 RT LTD. Interestingly BRP says they have a new seat again for the '27 S2S for this next model year...

What did you do to/with your Spyder today?

I think my 26 S2S is geared about 10% higher final drive than an F3S in the US. If we are both doing 60 mph in 6th gear, like the OP, you are pulling 10% or more revs than I am, so I may need to go a gear further down to get into the power band to pass something for the same speed. You're also...

Looking for 2026 RT Ltd or Sea to Sky equipment recommendations, brands/makes of phone mounts & cup/bottle holders, and a decent Half Cover?

I use this from Amazon, but it's not a lightweight material. However, it's much lighter and more compact than the full size version that comes standard with the 2026 S2S (well, at least mine did - they did give you the full size cover, didn't they?) XYZCTEM Can-Am Spyder RT Cover, Outdoor...

You knew it had to come - there's a Chinese Spyder!

It has some interesting and a few innovative features. 1. Front wheel drive. No belts or rear shaft. 2. Auto high beam headlights. 3. Tire pressure monitors. 4. Turn signals on left and right bars, like older BMWs. 5. Ability to turn off traction control. 6. Reasonable 80 bhp from a 1,000 cc...

What did you do to/with your Spyder today?

Peak torque is at 5,000 rpm and peak power just over 7,000 rpm on the Spyder. You have to consider power to weight ratio too. The BMW probably produces approximately the same level of power but weighs at least 300 pounds less. That's a lot of extra weight. The Spyder is not as zippy as the BMW...

Is there any Owner affordable BUDS?

You say the ground is showing less than one 1 volt under the battery voltage, but that is relative to what? Every voltage should be relative to the battery's -ve terminal or the frame/engine block. Perhaps I'm not understanding you correctly? If you have 1 volt less than the battery voltage...

Is there any Owner affordable BUDS?

Where did you buy it from? I'll buy one and give it a go with my OBDII reader. Do you have a part number etc?

What did you do to/with your Spyder today?

Trying to do a Mount Nebo Loop ride but there have been continuous thunderstorms in the mountains for the past week. It even rained a few times here in the valleys. First it was a furnace, now it's thunderstorms. Hope to go on Thursday if the forecast holds.

I have a mildly annoying problem while riding - phone won't bluetooth when plugged in to charge - are there any iPhone experts out there who can help?

Ah yes, I think this is so. Sorry, this is a bit of a long one, but this is what I do: What I have is two cables I can swap between. I have 90 degree USB A to USB C adapter in the glove box. I can plug either USB C cable into this. From there I run two USB cables to the phone mount. I have...

Is this Ryker Handle Bar Jiggle normal on lousy roads?

If your toe in is 0.5" per side, then that's approximately just 1.8 degrees per side for a total of getting on for 3.6 degrees toe in, in total. That would be a lot. If it's 0.25" per side for 0.5" in total, it would be just under 1.8 degrees overall. That would be a bit better. This all...

    My 2014 ST SM5 Project

Is the fuel pump providing enough fuel pressure or is it on the way out? Sitting for a long time doesn't always work out well for them. Vacuum lines rot with age and leak. Spyders don't like that and they are cheap to replace. Notorious problem. Battery? A good deal of Spyder issues come down...
