• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Questions for the experts - not the wannabes at my dealership

I finally noticed a vibration on my spyder at around 70mph. The belt of course. Haven't decided to change the tension yet. When I read the part about the squeak I immediately remembered someone on here having loose bolts on their sway bar linkage. Just another possible area that needs...

    2017 F3S Swaybar install?

I rented a couple of loading ramps and put them on the back of my Bronco. Then I just drove the spyder up the ramps until it was high enough. I had everything loosened up so it wasn't up for long. Did the switch, hand tightened everything then drove it back off. Easy peasy!

oil change and dipstick shows full-cold?

Mine is at the same level as yours. I wouldn't think that the time idling the engine would be so important but your case proves that it is. Thanks.

oil change and dipstick shows full-cold?

When I did my change last fall I put in 5 quarts. That's what the owners manual has and that's the recommendation on this forum. I ran it until the fans ran twice and checked the oil. It was just below max and I left it that way. Six months later at my 3k checkup the dealer said it was low...

    Harbor Freight motorcycle lifts

I had the motorcycle lift from HF. I used it to lift a Sportster and a Softail and found that it was very unstable. I sold it and would never use it for a spyder. JMHO

    Silly question about inspections

:agree: I just had my spyder in for inspection and asked the tech at the dealer if they would mount and balance car tires. He said that he doesn't recommend car tires because they are not the same size as the Kenda tires used by BRP. He also said that by putting car tires on would possibly...

RTS 3000 mile checkup and State inpection...

I found the answer in #2 posting of this thread: http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?97556-RT-vibration-issue&highlight=newtons Seems that the owner's manual and service manual for my spyder are in error then. I had forgotten that there was a post with revised belt tension values.
