• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Rain prep

I was advised by a "learned member" who no longer posts in here that you should NOT use rain-x. I think he was referred to as "the professor". Chris

    Wind Buffeting

I agree. My first question was gonna be whether the "op" had a laser alignment performed. I noticed a significant difference with respect to semi's, buses and car haulers after having my laser alignment. I'm sure the sway bar helps as well. Chris

Help! Stranded in Alabama with frozen ignition.

Your concerns or fears are misplaced. There are many of us here on Spyderlovers that have traveled thousands of trouble free miles on our spyders. Apparently by your last sentence you still ride two wheels and not three. I agree that Yamahammers are a great ride. However, Spyders are too. Chris

    What to wear?

Actually, Bob, mine wasn't from a slant of being either right or wrong. Mine was simply "choice". If others choose to wear all that garb, that is perfectly fine by me, and I don't consider them idiots. What they wear is their choice and I respect that just as I respect whether to ride in...

    What to wear?

As the original poster, you asked if "anyone wears shorts and a shirt". I for one do. I did ask a question though with reference to the use of your term "slide". I asked it because I wonder if we do "slide" when we have an accident with a spyder viz a viz a two wheeler. I meant no...

Cindy & I had the pleasure of spending some time with Tom, et al., last December's "Spyder Cruise Ship" outing. I also met with him at Bikeweek in Daytona. What a great and really fun guy. We certainly enjoyed his company and hope to see him again as well as you, Joe. Chris
