• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Wheel weights

Not a problem... All wheels rim/tires are not the same and the mounting process can affect the balance as well. If mounted properly they should be close but if not it will differ one from the other. New tires are marked with colored circles which should line up with the valve stem..

    Celebrities who ride Spyders??

Oh yeah !!! Being in California where it seems people live and die by what the stars do .....I do not , they are a rare bunch and I stay shy of what they do, want, say ... Jay Leno does have 2008 GS #1.... Danica Patric has been seen on one as well as those mentioned above and soon below. But...

    Limp Home Code

First two steps..... There you have it all laid out above... I have two steps I follow when these things happen.....(it's the glitch thing) 1. cut the engine with the kill switch leaving the key on and get all the codes.... 2. Turn off the ignition, remove the key and let the computers...

Motorcycle accidents - Why we're not always seen

I do agree.... Something I have always believed in adding that many believe that motorcycles can stop on a dime. The other added fact is that it is the standard excuse used by all involved in these accidents along with "he came outta nowhere" :yikes: I always say...." trust no one to do the...

    Ryker swaybar headshake

Here's the thing.. I have to agree that the issue is in the installation and or re-assembly as a Sway-Bar does nothing to the geometry of the front end untill there is a significant lean/roll of the front end as in a curve of turn. A head shake/wabble can mostly be felt or noticed when...

    ride on tire sealant.

Curious...🤔 This has come up many times with the same results. The second most asked in this area is what to carry for the chance of a flat on your spyder. I carry a mushroom plug kit and have never used it on the spyder. Would be interesting to see how many have had flats on the road. Sealants...

Replacing shocks is it worth it

Depends... Will depend on how well you are getting along with what you have. Stock shocks are quite adequate for normal ryding but if you are feeling you need more there are steps as mentioned above you can take first before you go into the shocks. A alignment check to start and then the...

Disabled the analogue gauges & want to replace with other gauges instead - Suggestions please?

Ah yes...many years ago we referred to those lights that came on when it was to late as "idiot lights"....a guage would let you know your oil pressure and condition. Of course now they do have the added feature of shutting you down when the light comes on to save you....volt meters let you know...

    Cracked Wheel Nuts

Interesting....🤔 From a close view it looks to be an anodized aluminum nut...:dontknow: I would go with a design and or material failure. I have not run across a nut split/cracking from overtorquing with the proper tool. The threads usually give out before that happens. An improper tool that...

Anyone Ride While Carrying a Camera?

Well.... If not mounting it (fixed) the tank bag would be the way to go. There are some nice cameras now that you can mount on your helmet and take stills and they are bluetooth connected to your phone so you can see the shot before taking it. They also do great video which you can later...

    More moans

It's the way it is..... First year productions are all like this. As much as they are tested and scrutenized there is no test like Joe Public....They seem to find ways no lab can to find the flaws. I have had several first year productions and they all had recalls and parts upgrades within a...

    Slingmods

As I see it..... Many do not ship abroad because of all the hassels involved. Especially if they are a small operation. I do buy for family but gotta say that though they really want the stuff it is far and beyond expensive to ship making it all an expensive item. The best way we have found is...

Do still ride a motorcycle ??

Tough one.... With me probably the issue is age and cost. If younger perhaps would have both but not worth the cost of maintaing them nor the risk as my abilities on the two wheeler dimimished as time moves on. Just my thoughts....
