• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Warming up Spyder for oil level check

I humbly refer back to this sticky post from BRP about proper oil amounts for the 1330 engine. 5.0 qts is the preferred amount for engine oil & filter change only. Additional for HCM change. https://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?82580-Oil-Level-on-1330-engined-Spyders-Chapter-II

2013 Spyder RT-S with faded switches - do I just need new switches?

First off, you absolutely need that tool to safely pop the caps off without damaging the switch underneath. Those switches are made by Carling, and the switch model is the Contura. You can get replacement caps at numerous places. You can even get custom engraved ones. Here's a link to a marine...

'Learnt Gear' RESET - will this let the computer to re-learn MY style of riding?

BUDS and BUDS2 are very different software. I've found that using BUDS2 on older models (2008-2016) can cause the software to either not function at all, or act very strange. BUDS original won't work on newer (2017-current) machines. Here's a couple of screen shots of the two programs. The one...

'Learnt Gear' RESET - will this let the computer to re-learn MY style of riding?

Snowbelt's response is correct. However I would like to point out that you mention BUDS2. You should be using BUDS, the original version on your bike. BUDS2 is only for model year 2017 and newer.

Info that might help when replacing front sprocket!

Thank you for the information, and I totally agree that we should all be on the same page. Unfortunately, BRP does not seem to agree. Every online parts fiche I can find does NOT show the front sprocket as having a washer.

Info that might help when replacing front sprocket!

I have worked on this particular bike, and many others over the years. I made it very obvious that I cannot "clear" the recall. However, that said, even now the parts catalogs do NOT show the silver sprocket WITH a washer. And as further proof that something is askew at BRP, the 2020 and up 1330...

Info that might help when replacing front sprocket!

Not wanting to wait the month a local dealer told him it would take to do the front sprocket recall, a friend asked me to replace it. I've already done 4 or 5 replacements, and found that some will slide right off, and others will bind up on the shaft. This one would not come off easily. Rather...

On the 2021 F3L schematic, the customer acc circuits are on the F6R 10 amp fuse. The fog lights (called Accessory Lights) are on the Accessory RY4R relay.
