• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Pull Behind Trailers

I've seen a couple SpyderLovers use these trailers with their Spyder with no problems. But, for $2,500? It would take years to recover any $$$ due to loss of gas mileage and you can buy up some very nice motorcycle trailers much cheaper than that. I only lose 1 mpg with it attached and full...

    I can't help myself

I also like to ride hard when I'm one-up. That's one of the reasons I kept my 08 GS when I bought my 12 RTS-LTD. The GS has an aftermarket sway bar and 2012 RT front shocks...what a difference! Plus...it's REALLY loud! :yikes:

Yep, that pic is 2012. The Yellow Spyder in the background is Number One...I rode Number Two in 2013 since I'd just gotten it a week before.

Harbor Freight 1500 lb ATV lift failure!!!!

I just use a low-profile car jack. I jack up the front first (using my hand to level the front end if it leans) and then put jack stands under the A-arms. Then I go around back and do the same. Sure, it's more work, but it's rock-solid when I start working on it. And, for the people who know...

    Sad news about Littlebadwolf

I also met Larry for the first time that day (the first yellow Spyder in the left side pic is mine...and, of course, I'm the one in the tie-dye in the background). I also met Ann for the first time that day. Larry hauled some stuff back to MI for me from the Owners' Event in Maggie Valley last...

    good trailer cheap

I have this trailer and have towed it over 8,000 miles so far. One warning...the bearing grease is HORRIBLE. It's kind of like Vaseline. nojoke At 5k I had to change the bearings because one side was totally toast. I also added 12" wheels to help the wheel bearings (fewer RPMs with 12"...

    Happy with Service

My old dealer is 15 miles away, so it wasn't too bad going there. The new one is 60 miles away, so the loaner is MUCH appreciated.

    Happy with Service

Actually my RT dealer does that! Plus, I get a loaner anytime it's in the shop. nojoke My GS dealer sold the business recently...and they didn't do the loaner thing anyway.

    Winterize?

Don't start it unless you're going to ride it. There have been posts about this in the past, but I'm at work and should probably get something done instead of searching for them!
