• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    slingshot curious?????

Slingshot or Not Drove a very similar vehicle to the Slingshot that was made in China. Much lower power than the Slingshot but still fun to drive. Had not driven a spyder by that time. Went to the Spyder dealer and after driving the Spyder I was sold. I think it is the most fun you can have...

    Kind of disappointed.

Must be getting old. As a previous race car driver, speed was always my friend. However yesterday I was entering the freeway, saw an opening throttled up my 998cc and almost instantly found myself doing 85. I for one am very happy with this engine. Trading up just for more HP, not this guy.

    Smart Chargers

Trickle Charger I plug my spyder into a trickle charger every day after I finish riding. It stays plugged in until the next time I ride. It has a light that shows battery condition. Yellow-not fully charged, green-fully charged. For you battery guys, is this a good or bad practice ? :dontknow:

What type of gas does everyone use

87 Octane I know that most everyone on this site will tell you the higher the octane the better. I ran nothing but the highest octane I could get for the first 2000 miles and decided to see what 87 octane would do. We'll, so far I don't notice any performance difference and no engine ping. I...

    New style backrest price?

That is the passenger back rest but it needs the tail piece replaced and a sport rack installed. Just more $$$$$$. I have the back rest but don't use. I have opted for more storage for my rain suit on sport rack. I use a passenger back rest that mounts on my Ultimate seat.

First long ride with the wife,.......seat has got to go!

Great Seat Bought the Ultimate seat with both back rests 2 weeks after purchasing my spyder. Both wife and I find the ride much improved. We are light weights (175 and 115). Before anyone asks, she's 115....:2thumbs: After 52 years of marriage. Wow, come to think of it, she started out that...
