• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Short Passenger

My wife is short as well. She has tried my Airhawk cushion with some success. She didn't slide around when she was using it and neither do I. There is a potential problem with any kind of pad and my wife experienced it. If your wife's legs are short, she may not be able to comfortably reach her...

    Lose of PENSION?

If you study the Constitution on which this nation used to be founded, you will find that there is no provision for protecting the financial well being of either corporations or individual citizens. There is, however; a strong mandate to provide for National Security. I guess that is why the...

    beautiful and pretty cool

Somebody call BRP! We need a Spyder that will do that.

    Good Video

I have had a few close calls over the years on motorcycles. One of the reasons I bought a Spyder is that I think the broad front will be more visible than a two wheeler to oncoming traffic.

    another laser alignment thread

Although you hear a lot about wheel alignment on these forums, I don't think the problem is as widespread as it appears. Its like this. Very few people post comments like yours that basically says the alignment is just fine. I have had the same experience as you but didn't feel any need to say...

    2015 RIDES

I have ridden through Deal's Gap and a lot more of US 129 many, many times and I don't think it is any better than several other roads in that area or North Georgia. Also, it isn't really all that scenic. The road just got a reputation that caught on so that it is now a must ride or even a rite...

Got any long trips planned for the Spyder?

We are planning to ride the Blue Ridge Parkway again next spring from Cherokee, NC North but this time we are going to continue through Skyline Drive and the Shenandoah Valley. We will probably head East from there and return home down the Atlantic coast and through Charleston and Savannah.

Manual transmission vs. semi automatic transmission

I would have preferred a fully manual transmission but i really wanted the OEM floorboards and you can't have both. It took me quite a while to get used to no clutch but I like it okay now.

    2015 RIDES

Those are some great roads. I was surprised to discover that I have been on most of them at one time or another though a few were just in a car. Here is yet another source of good roads to ride. http://www.fhwa.dot.gov/byways/ Many of these are less ambitious or beautiful than the ones you...

some people are just plain stupid

I am just so thankful that I live in a civilized place. That sort of behavior wouldn't be tolerated by bystanders here, much less police officers.

Could be compitition for the Spyder

My opinion is like that of many other people here. The Spyper and Slingshot are so different that there won't be many people looking at either one or the other in competition. I might like to have both but not for the same purpose. I bought a Spyder because it looked like a pretty good...

    Rear Tire - Pre-2013 Compound

Just keep in mind that car tires have much worse traction than motorcycle (or Spyder) tires. If you don't ride aggressively, it probably won't matter. 12,000 miles is pretty long life for a motorcycle tire. I have ridden Goldwings for 15 years and I think I ever went that far on a set. I used...

Tennessee to ban trucks from The Dragon

I am pleased with the ban. However, from my observation, most of the wrecks are a single rider and the problem is they simply not skilled enough to ride at the speeds they are going.

    Recap of 2014 RT Problems

It was honest and factual accounts of the overheating issue (among other things) that persuaded me to buy a 2014 RT-S at a time when the 2013s were being heavily discounted. I am very thankful for those people and the forums here for preventing me from making a big mistake. There is a difference...

Looking for Opinions on a Hitch

BLUELIGHT911, I will stand by every word I said but I will not stand by words you erroneously attributed to me. I didn't say anything about "THE" warranty. what I said was that certain parts of the warranty could be voided by using certain inappropriate substitute parts to the vehicle. Nobody is...

    Straight exhaust

I will never modify my Spyder or any other motorcycle or 4 wheeled vehicle in such a way as to cause extreme annoyance from a majority of people around me, even though it seems to be the norm with Harley owners. I just have too much respect for my fellowman to do such a thing.

Looking for Opinions on a Hitch

Just be aware . . . The use of any other hitch than the BRP one will almost certainly cancel the warranty on certain drive train and suspension components. The manufacturer has stated as much in their sales literature and they have some valid engineering reasons for doing so. In this case the...

    Slingshot, F3 Spyder, & Morgan 3-wheeler Shootout!

Why the comparison? I consider these three machines to be wildly different from each other. About the only things they have in common are the lack of a roof and three wheels, two of which are in the front. I can't imagine anyone trying to decide between any two of them. I absolutely do not want...

    2014 RTS Ride Characteristics

According to the owner's manual, ECO mode does reduce throttle response and maximum throttle opening. Somebody published a graph that I think came from BRP that showed the response was reduced by about a third. With my limited experience, I have observed that, under similar riding conditions, I...
