• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Nice, friendly folks...

John and I met a guy at The Oak Bay camping area in St. Stephens, New Brunswick on our trip to Nova Scotia. He saw us at the camping area and turned around to come talk to us. He was a local. He was telling us how he had bought his RT in Vermont and brought it across the border. He has a home...

Alaska has arrived at the top of my list

Karyl just for the heck of it I went on line to see how far it would be. Waterboro, ME to Springfield, MO to Chugiak, AK to Chelan, WA back to Waterboro, ME. 10446 miles. At 500 miles per day it comes to 21 days just traveling. Now we have to figure out places to visit. Spyderfest would be a...

rworell In your first thread you said you were planning to go to Spyderquest. Are you still planning on it since you got a machine? Two possibly three of us from southern Maine are planning to go. We are signed up and accommodations are reserved. Where do you live?

Home Again...trailer update and misc comments.

Glad your trip ended on the safe side. John's and my trip to Nova Scotia was interesting. We survived Hurricane Arthur. Spent most of the time talking to the other motorcyclists in attendance. The number was down this year but they made the best of it. That's typical of Nova Scotians. They...

    2014 Summer Spyder Group Cruise(s)

spydermaan60 When you get to Rockland for the Lobster Festival and you have time head north to Fort Knox and the Observatory . The observatory is the only one of it's kind in the US. You ride the elevator to almost the top then you have to walk up two more stories. The view is beautiful. It is...

I'm a little late in answering this, but not too much action in passed years. We seem to be growing in numbers though. Went to Spyderfest at the beginning of the month in Springfield , MO. Had a good time. Only problem I was alone for the trip. Rain on the way down but nice weather while in...

Ready for Spring, fellow Maine spyder riders?

Got back from Spyderfest last Tuesday evening. 3500 miles round trip. According to map at Pitbull Powersports only one other registrant from Maine. Their star was on Houlton. Met a couple in New York State from N. Berwick. Small world out there. More people from Maine should be thinking about...

    inspection sticker

Last year the state of Maine redid their rules on inspection stickers. We had to carry them with the registration. The found out that only 20% of registered motorcycles were inspected. There solution was to have inspection tickers mounted on the rear fender. The outcry was loud against that. The...

Worst Can-Am Service and parts departments

I have been waiting since January for my trailer hitch. Delivery of hitch was suppose to be April 17th but no show. At least I didn't need it for Spyderfest. I hope it's in for when I go to The Bluenose Rally fourth of July weekend. :dontknow:

Need an ISCS Hand Brake Installer near San Antonio, TX

When I bought mine from ISCS my dealer installed it for me. The technician followed instructions and had no problem. The dealership asked him how much time it would take him to do another one and charged that for installation time. No BRP systems are affected by the installation. It is a...

    Almost Human...good or bad show?

I don't know how much BRP is paying for the exposure they are being robbed. A quick one second drive by or a parked unit with a quick look. Their money would be better spent somewhere else. Maybe more interaction with its riders. Their best advertising is word of mouth from owners to the public...
