• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Nice, friendly folks...

Few days ago as wife and I were taking a break from riding in Eureka Springs, a sharp looking white spyder went by, honked, waved, turned around and came back to check if we were ok. We were fine and got to meet Jim and Linda, Gloryryders and part of Mo Gang. Had a good short visit. Sure was nice of them to turn around to check on us and our white RT. Nice meeting you folks. Yesterday we saw a happy smiling couple on a cognac in Siloam Springs. Didn't get a chance to meet them but they were waving and having a great ride. Be safe....

You know the old saying "You meet the nicest people on a :spyder2:"

:yes::yes:

I know, I know, for the accuracy police. I stole the phrase from a Honda commercial from way back when. :roflblack::roflblack:

Great..!!

not many turn around and come back. Glad you were able to meet them most of the ones I see wave in passing but never stop..it is fun when it happens and friendships start this way...:2thumbs:

John and I met a guy at The Oak Bay camping area in St. Stephens, New Brunswick on our trip to Nova Scotia. He saw us at the camping area and turned around to come talk to us. He was a local. He was telling us how he had bought his RT in Vermont and brought it across the border. He has a home machine shop. He loves to make things for his :spyder2: . From the looks of the trailer hitch he made he is good at it. He mentioned that he had sold his Gold Wing. At the Bluenose Rally in Nova Scotia I was talking to a guy and he was telling me how he had bought his Gold Wing from a guy in St. Stephens who had just bought a Spyder from the states. Yep met both guys on the same trip. Small world isn't it?

No doubt, they're some of the best folks I've met on a Spyder!

I stop for any bike on the side of the road just to make sure that they are OK, and if I can be of any help. Other bikers have stopped to check on me as well, and I give thanks to them all. You can bet that folks in cages don't stop.

Funny that you should say that, on my way home from Durango i stopped on the side of the highway to refresh my water bottle and a guy in a pickup stopped to see if i needed help.
I think that it is the person who stops to help, not what they are riding in or on.

A couple years ago on my way back from the 911 run in NYC I stopped at the toll booth to pay and there was a fellow motorcyclist ahead of me who was pulling off into the office. I asked the toll booth operator if she knew what was wrong and she said he didn't have any money to pay the toll.
I paid it for and sent him on his way

A few years ago the wife and I were going through Rogers Pass B.C. and the Harley quit. A car stopped and offered a hand. My battery was dead so he hooked up his car and ran it to put some charge in my battery and got enough charge to get it started and get to his house in the next town. He let us camp there, use his house, his shop and tools and he also had an identical harley which he said to switch parts till I found the problem which wasnt necessary as I found it was the regulator went bad. He helped me get the parts and on my way. There are still good folks out there.
