• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Dealer told me there is a 'Stop Sale' recall on 2016+ models - is this true?

Look for the ''red dust of death'' on the sprocket. They let go without any warning leaving you dead in the water.

Will the 1330 engine adjust based on gas octane changes?

In season I run E10 in my toys. When end of season comes around, I start running E0 to avoid issues. Sleds and the F3 will run on 87 just fine but my HD specs 91 minimum. I can get 90 E0, HD has not complained yet so fall fill ups of E0 are my SOP. Cooler temps reduce octane sensitivity also...

    Gas Cap Hissing

My F3 does it when gas in tank is warm. Excess pressure venting off. Makes a whining sound. My BRP snowmobiles do the same thing. Loosening cap lets that pressure out.

Suction pump for 1330 oil change?

I just drive the front up on car ramps to change the oil. Easy peasey. Easier than my Ski Doo 1200 Rotax 4 stroke sleds with a dry sump motor and my HD on a center on frame bike jack. Getting up and down from the floor is another story, at 67 I'm getting slower and making those ''noises''...

What is MotoBatt 12V AGM Battery like for my F3?

Just some food for thought. Spyder charging system is programmed for AGM batteries. Flooded and Li On or other types have different charging requirements. I'd stick with what works. I get 10 yrs. out of the Yuasa batteries in my Ski Doo's, on maintainers when garaged, and they see way more...

2021 F3 Limited Service Manuals - which one is best?

My F3 online manual from canammanuals is 1040 single computer pages. If double sided printed that would still be 520 pages. I just print out a section I may need in the garage. I do that with all the online manuals for vehicles in the family fleet.

“Mini-Carport” shelter for outdoor Spyder storage - what's available?

Shelter Logic hands down is the best brand for portable shelters. I had a garage in a box version, 12x24 that I stored my snowmobiles in for 6 yrs. in the NYS ADK snowbelt. It had 2 ft of snow on it many times in that period. I had to use 5 2x4's to prop the center rib to support the weight it...

Red Dust of Death Recall???? Front Sprocket Recall - FINALLY....

I got lucky. Bought our '15 F3S 23k miles used in the fall. Wife only put 100 miles on it and the pulley/sprocket failed. Dealer covered repair fully. Other than having to retrieve it via trailer and taking a 3.5 hr road trip back to the dealer to get it fixed mines been fine. White version was...

2017 F3L DTC P2135 + Limp Home Mode - any ideas on cause?

I would try an electronic cleaner / lubricant in all the connectors. Garage stock for me is DeOxit. I use it whenever a connector has to come apart. Back in the '08 to '12 years GM vehicles suffered from ''fretting corrosion'' in harness connectors. No operation, mystery codes, erratic...

What works for Brightening/Shining Chrome Wheels?

I use Never Dull on my chrome, stainless, etc. to clean and follow up with Turtle Wax Ceramic spray wax to help the cleaning last longer. F3 rims cleanup easier and stay cleaner longer. Same for my HD chrome which is a real PITA.

F3 Front Shock bolt - what torque?

Same with my manual, no mention of torque spec. I would just go with the 35 ft. lbs. as the rear. That is not a really high torque value anyway and there is a lot more stress on the single rear than the fronts.

    Never order from https://can-am-shop.brp.com/

I ordered the service panel twist lock knob for my F3 2 weeks ago from the BRP site. Got it in 4 days as I ordered on the weekend. Closest dealers are good distance away from me, dealer I bought it from is 3.5 hrs. away. A dealer 2 hrs. away from me E mailed me it was shipped, I guess they had...

Where is the brake alarm beeper located?

2x . BRP puts beepers in the clusters of SkiDoo's and SeaDoos also.

How do you Glasses wearers manage with Helmet & Glasses?

I'll second Mikey. As a multi season helmet wearer I've found that modulars and 3/4 helmets are the most glasses friendly helmets. Easier to ''spread'' the helmet via the straps to put on/off over the glass's frames with them on. My new winter BRP Oxygen full face has the glass's markings /...

Shell Rotella T6 Out of Stock! Any available? Any Alternatives?

10-40w Valvoline currently in mine. No T6 locally, the diesel guys just scoff it up when it hits the shelves. BRP specs the 5-40w because that's what is used in their snowmobiles. They sell and service a lot more sleds than Spyders so it's a one size fits all oil for their 4 strokes and the...

Do Spyders have an enriching circuit for Starting?

Just to add to this one should let the motor run a bit after a cold start so fuel mixtures can lean out and plugs heat up to ''clean'' off. At least let it run long enough so idle speed drops down to it's normal rpm to get it out of cold start open loop mode. With Rotax 1200 3 cyl. snowmobile...

Ultimate Seat care?? And what about rain?

I've mink oiled my snowmobile and bike seats for years. Even vinyl sled seats do not ''dry out'' and crack with it being applied on them. I wipe it on and into the seams, let is sit for a while and buff it off. My 20 yr. old HD Mustang seat still looks like new and no rain issues on it. It's on...

Looking for the perfect rain suit

Gore Tex and sealed seams are a must. My experience with Klim gear is with Klim snowmobile gear and it's pricey, but it keeps me dry, no wet butt from snow melting under it, so for me it's Gore-Tex or nothing. I've had snow turn to rain on the sled and it's no different than being on a bike. I...

Is training really needed to ride a Spyder?

Total newbies take the course. It will instill proper habits. My wife got her M/C license at 50 by taking the MSF course. She only 2-wheel M/C'ed for a few years and took a break until she turned 65 and said I need a Spyder. Since we snowmobile the Spyder was an easy transition for her, ''it's...

Purchased front pulley for 2019 f3 limited

Yep made in the USA and it has a date stamp also. The updated white sprocket. Saw it when cleaning out the dust from the one that failed in the fall that dealer in warranty replaced on our used purchased machine.
