• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

92 degrees, 103 degree heat index = nasty running Spyder..

Thanks for all the replies, everyone! There might be an exhaust leak at the Hindle elbow. If there is, I've gotten used to it, I guess. I'm about tired of messing with it, honestly. And, here's the other thing. Sealant has been used on it previously. And, I Am sure within the next...

92 degrees, 103 degree heat index = nasty running Spyder..

My Spyder was doing this before the steering software update. My Spyder has always run beautifully. And, I figured that after the 12,000 mile service (new plugs, etc,,,) this condition would go away. It's just when it's 90+, that it isn't happy. And, like I mentioned; generally after a little...

Oh yeah! You are describing it to a 'T'. :dontknow: And, the humidity is pretty high during much of these summer months, for sure.

92 degrees, 103 degree heat index = nasty running Spyder..

16,500 miles in just over 10 months, and this is the one thing that is a big irritant for me. When I leave home in the morning, the Spyder runs perfect! I go out at lunch with the temps. indicated, and it runs really rough - almost like it's running on 1 cylinder. And today, especially; it was...

    12k service question

They looked at all that on mine at 14,000 miles. And, they indicated there was no need for replacement yet.

14,000 miles in just under 9 months. + another blown exhaust gasket!

12,000 mile service completed at 14,060 miles. Blown exhaust gasket also replaced. And, this was the same gasket as before. The extra heat heat that I experienced was a result of the higher ambient temperatures. Total Cost for the 12,000 mile service: $330.00.

14,000 miles in just under 9 months. + another blown exhaust gasket!

I took it in on Saturday for the gasket replacement, and 12,000 mile service. I'll know more tomorrow, I guess. And, since the gaskets were ordered on Saturday, I hope to have my Spyder back in time for the upcoming weekend. On another note; Tim (zzneonzz) was kind enough to meet me at the...

14,000 miles in just under 9 months. + another blown exhaust gasket!

I pulled the right panel today, and cranked it up. It seems like the exhaust leak is where the pipe comes out of the motor - the back cylinder. But, I cannot tell for sure.

Well; the other dealer doesn't have any stock. Special order item. Oh well; guess, I'll wait. Soon, I bet, all the dealers will be stocking these on a regular basis. Wow! It might be a week plus before I ride again! But, it will sure will be nice to get back in the saddle.

14,000 miles in just under 9 months. + another blown exhaust gasket!

Thanks for the pic! Will I need to remove the Hindle if I tackled this, myself? I am going to check with another dealer to see if they have the gaskets in stock. If it's a simple fix, I might do it myself. I really don't want to wait possibly more than a week to have it fixed (while my 12,000...

14,000 miles in just under 9 months. + another blown exhaust gasket!

Okay.... I have a question, then. :) Are all the gaskets the same? It looks like, since my dealer is in the process of moving into their new building, they probably won't be able to perform my 12,000 mi. service, and replace the blown gasket until late next week at the earliest. Thanks!

14,000 miles in just under 9 months. + another blown exhaust gasket!

Well, Boys and Girls; this one hurts! Literally! I noticed a gasket letting go half way to the office this morning. And, immediately, I felt the heat on my right calf. When it blew before, the heat never really increased. I rode over a month with the blown gasket. On the way home tonight, (my...

Yeah....BRP needs to address that. That's twice in 14,000 miles.

    Comfort Seat, Passenger Peg Extensions

Nice post, Bruce! I got to sample sitting on the new BRP seat at last weekend's Spyder Demo. And, presently, I am considering a touring saddle for the future. While the standard (w/seat skin) was pretty good on the Chattanooga trip, I did begin thinking a Corbin or this new BRP...

14,000 miles in just under 9 months. + another blown exhaust gasket!

On the way to the office this morning at about the 13,985 mile mark, I noticed it! And, the warm rush of air on my right ankle, immediately followed. :( Oh well; I'm about to take it in for the 12,000 mile service. I'll have the exhaust gaskets addressed then.

Lamont: Have a wonderful trip! I know, many like me, wish we could make that trip. But, you're the finest representative, I can think of for the Can-Am Spyder. And, please tell Jay we all said hello! Right now; Jean and I are looking forward to the 'Spyders in the Smokies' event in...

Last weekend's Chattanooga Journey in 4 parts. ((PART 4 w/photos))

As you begin the descent, you are riding right along the Tennessee River. And, that was very cool! Back at the hotel – 135 miles later; we decided to park the Spyder and have dinner at the ‘Terminal Brewhouse’ next door to the hotel. And, that was a great choice. Jean began the evening with the...

Last weekend's Chattanooga Journey in 4 parts. ((PART 3))

The ride up to Rock City (just about to the peak of Lookout Mtn.) is really nice. Elevation is around 2,000 ft. During all this climbing the Spyder was perfect! And, did it get a lot of attention! Of course, we all know about that! Lol! Of course, we wanted to finally, “See Rock City”. All my...
