• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    I'll keep the "Old Lady"

WOW!!!! 50,000 miles in just 15 months! Mine will be 1 yr. old on Sept. 27th. I should be over 19,000 miles by then. And, I echo your sentiments. My 2008 Spyder has been nothing short of a pure joy. And, I tell people that ask that each day that I back it out of the garage it feels like...

I think the 2010 Spyder is Cool! I think it's made my love for my '08 stronger!

I think the 2010 Spyder RT is Cool! I think it's made my love for my '08 stronger! A product going into it's third year of production should show changes, and improvements. I think it is a really good move on BRP's part. And, when I look at my Spyder, I see a more raw 'hot rod', if you will...

    RT is keeping me awake

I sure don't know where I got the idea that I could get a trailer for around $1,000! Lol! 'must have come to me in a dream, or something. I think now, I'll just aim for a set of the Givi bags. Those should do nicely for my needs.

    RT is keeping me awake

I had no idea. I guess the BRP trailer price isn't too bad, then. Thanks Lamont!

I like the new spyder but another PE......?

I just went over to my office window (3rd floor), and looked out into the parking lot at mine. I am very content. :) I do like the 2010 model from the photos. But, for me personally, it is too 'Gold Wing' for my tastes. I'm not into tall windshields. So; the new one would need to go way down for...

    Another Sylver Dream !

It really does remind me of a Gold Wing Trike turned around. And, those are $30,000. More than I will ever spend, I'm sure.

    RT is keeping me awake

929 lbs. With no more HP, that weight difference will be noticed, I bet. But................ 'The Spyder RT’s Rotax 991 engine has been retuned to handle the demands of the additional weight of the touring package and a passenger, with three lb-ft more torque coming on at 750 rpm lower in the...

    New Exhaust Install?

My Hindle still backfires sometimes - mostly when it's hot and humid. I've gotten used to it, I guess. I may or may not have a leak.

So here's what I know about the 2010s

That's cool! Progress ahead! They can keep the chrome. After I install Givi Bags, get some NMN HIDs, and a few other goodies, I'm set!

    6k New front tires

I have 18,400 miles on my Spyder now. While I was having the dealer change my oil this past Saturday, the head mechanic mentioned that my fronts were wearing some on the inside hitting the wear bars. And, they will probably need to be replaced when the back tire is due. I didn't even really...

    Hindle with a rattle..

500 degrees resistance for the heat shield rivets should be okay, don't you think?

I think, I screwed up. Meguiar's Hot Wheels Cleaner..

'Been doing a little research after reading all of your posts. I must say; I'm excited! Yesterday, I went to the dealer, got my oil changed, and the wife and I rode for over 100 miles. Beautiful weather here in the midsouth! It's almost like the weather forgot it's still August here! Lol!! We...

    Hindle with a rattle..

Lol! Yep! The loosest rivet is the one on the guard toward the back. That's the main culprit. On the guard at the elbow, those are a bit loose as well. JB Weld makes sense. I'd rather try that then try to remove a rivet, and install a new one. Thanks!

    Hindle with a rattle..

I pulled into the parking out at my office this morning, and noticed a different sound. It seems my Hindle exhaust is rattling a bit. Maybe from inside? Not sure yet. Since, I just arrived after a 28 mile jaunt, I wasn't about to begin playing with it. And, it looks like the hanger bolt...

I think, I screwed up. Meguiar's Hot Wheels Cleaner..

Thanks everyone! You Live, and 'Hopefully' Learn! How was I, or anyone else, to know? You can bet, I won't be using it on any of my vehicle wheels anymore. I always use a rubber coated wheel brush as well, along with any cleaner. I'll try some of the solutions a few of you...

I think, I screwed up. Meguiar's Hot Wheels Cleaner..

Apparently; even though I have been using this cleaner for a couple of years on my other vehicles' wheels, not a good idea on the Spyder's wheels. Oh! The wheels it cleans fine. However; it appears by using it, I have ruined the finish on most of my non-black suspension components inside the...
