• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

About to be a new Spyder owner......please calm me down!

:welcome: The ones that write about their issues make only a small number of the owners out here. Their numbers seem big because they use forums to vent, and they have a right and reason to do so. But for us that own and enjoy our Spyders, we are here, but not posting as much as we are out...

    Plasti-Dip of Windshield Bracket

I haven't dipped the chrome on the saddle bags or the truck because I have LED's glued on it and I would have to do a little more effort (and down good riding time while the dipping dries). But I will get around to it eventually.

    Vibrations

:agree: with Roger. Give it time for the belt to get it's proper setting. If it persists, take note of it when you get your 1st checkup (or before if you have a '14 and that would be at 3000 miles).

    Riding in rain?

With my 2010 RT, I noticed my feet getting a lot of water, even wearing a rain suit and water resistant tactical boots (Bates). Since I was new at it, I only saw it as an minor thing and just changed socks (I hate wet socks!). The fenders of the 2013 are different, there is a cover on the...

    Plasti-Dip of Windshield Bracket

I did it on mine... It works ok, but when you mount the bracket back in the motorized arms, it will strip away the "paint/plastic" so be vary careful. I went instead and got a bracket that Cruzr Joe had power coated, swapped mine and got it power coated and sent it back to Joe. Looks a lot...

    Riding course?

MSF Courses vary by state. Might want to contact companies within the http://msf-usa.org/ website and go from there. Some companies offer the Trike course, some you need to request it. The Spyder has a DVD that gives a nice introduction on learning to ride. Get you some red plastic cups fill...

    Help Removing Gloryder insert.

Sometimes they do... but we've encountered a few "stubborn" ones that are just pressured in. That is where the slide hammer comes in. The nice thing about the slide hammer is that it will leave no scratches on the rim... however, watch your fingers when sliding the weight bar!:yikes:

Anyone fitted BRP footboards to a base 2014 RT?

If you have an SE6 (Semi auto), I don't think it should be a problem. But if you have an SM6 (foot shifter), it will not work because BRP did not accommodate the OEM floorboard for them.
