• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

what other sizes for rear tire?

My Michelin HydroEdge is 215/60R15. No nanny issues and my speedometer is never more than 1 MPH off from my Garmin Zumo 550 GPS & often shows the same speed.

    Bell Mag 9 Helmet

Absolutely spot on! Before installing the speakers, hook them up to a sound source and hold them to your ears. Find that "sweet spot" where they sound the best. Now you know what to listen for after you install them and are adjusting their position in the helmet to give you the best sound.

what tire for the rear wheel

The rear is a 215/60r15 Michelin HydroEdge, which is discontinued and replaced with the Michelin Defender. Fronts are 175/65R14 (they are one size wider than OEM - that's the only difference) Michelin Defender.

what tire for the rear wheel

The 225/60R15 might be a little too 'tall' for the Nanny. I do recall my dealer had a Spyder that kept throwing codes & they couldn't figure it out. They finally called BRP Tech Support and was asked to check the rear tire. The owner had put a new one on that was a different size (don't know...

    Tire hell sorry

I'll have to look when I get home. I don't think there's been much wear to speak of, but I probably only have a few thousand miles on them. Being feeble-minded, I may forget, but will try to remember to get the numbers and post them.

    Tire hell sorry

No doubt there is a difference in tread design from inside to outside, which caused me to assume there's also a left side tire and a right side tire. When I researched it, I found they are all the same 'side'. As I know pretty much nothing about tire tread design, I'll have to defer to the...

    Tire hell sorry

The Michelin Defender is the replacement tire for the HydroEdge. You can go with the 215/60R15 Defender & still get the Michelin level quality you were wanting with the HydroEdge.

SMALL 12 volt air compressor ?

Slime's compressor had great reviews a few years back in Motorcycle Consumer News. I have one, but fortunately, haven't had a need to use it. Seems like it draws 10 or 12 amps. I set it up to run through my Gerbing heated clothing connectors, which are direct to battery connections with an...

    RT Trailer Hitch

The hitch bolt runs through the hollow axle bolt. Remove the hitch bolt and the hitch should slide off the swing arm ends, although it may need a few taps with a rubber mallet to get it off. Install the hitch bolt back onto the uninstalled hitch assembly to keep it all together.

    215/60R15 Michelin Hydroedge wear report

Just trying to hit all points. Was thinking about your rim width comment and thought maybe you were thinking the sidewall height spec was based on that. I've concluded that while I know what I'm trying to say, I've obviously not understood what you're trying to tell me. For that, I apologize.

If Pierre told you to jump off a cliff, would you do that too??? :lecturef_smilie: (I told him I was fine with it as long as Spyder TV bailed you out of jail.)

    2010 RT SM5 Hard Shifting

2010 RT SM5 - I am finding that I have to use pretty hard pressure on the shift peddle when up or down shifting in the lower gears, including reverse. I was in reverse yesterday and found it almost impossible to get out of reverse & into 1st. I also find it very difficult to get into Neutral...

    215/60R15 Michelin Hydroedge wear report

The OEM tire is 225/55R15, so the variance between that and the 215/60R15 tire we are discussing is not significant enough to trigger the nanny error code. I run the 215/60R15 HydroEdge myself & have for over 15,000 miles. Not only did I check into this before buying, I now have 2.5 years of...

    215/60R15 Michelin Hydroedge wear report

YOU explain why when a wrong size tire that is mounted results in error codes and when the OEM size or one closer to the OEM size is mounted the codes stop. This isn't rocket science. Part of the Nanny system includes monitoring wheel speed on each wheel. It is programmed to expect a limited...
