• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Recall done. Not sure they put the right sprocket on.

The belt can't come of the front sprocket with flanges both sides. What you're smelling may not be the belt. I care because its binding real hard up against the outside flange. How did you determine that? I can understand that you care, but I don't think that there's anything to care...

Recall done. Not sure they put the right sprocket on.

If the belt can be got to track correctly on the rear sprocket, that's all that matters surely. Who cares where it is on the front? It can't come off. Sure it might get hot, but it's bolted to the engine.

2016 F3T Reverse Actuator Part number confirmation please?

That should be 710003776 - superseded to 219800522 surprisingly cheap I thought at $141 https://www.ktmhobart.com.au/part/canam/219800522#content

2010 RSS with belt noise - will adjusting the back adjust the belt front pulley too?

See item 2 below. Flange is on outside - opposite side to rear pulley, for obvious reasons. https://www.ktmhobart.com.au/partFinder/fiche/canam/2010/spyder-rs-roadster-sm5/drive-system-rear#next

2010 RSS with belt noise - will adjusting the back adjust the belt front pulley too?

That front pulley is fitted incorrectly. The flange should be on the outside.

    Do I Have A Lemon?

Reliability is not the best feature of the Can-Am Spyder. Many folks buy them for the reasons you say that you may buy one and your wife probably did. It fills a niche market and a lot of folks buy (and some repeat and repeat) because the Spyder meets their desire to keep riding. Do more...

Are the Front belt pulley bolts on 998 SE5's & 1330 SE6's the same?

That bolt is no ordinary bolt - it has thread lock on it from the factory. Get the genuine item.

Are the Front belt pulley bolts on 998 SE5's & 1330 SE6's the same?

I seem to remember that the earlier bolt has a flange head and newer bolt has a normal hex head plus a hardened flat washer - but I stand to be corrected.

Spyder Dies Momentarily - anyone else had this issue?

Update: Since swapping a few relays around 6 months ago, the issue has not resurfaced - must have just been a poor connection on one of the fuses or relays I removed and replced.

Should my GS be Dripping fuel after canister delete?

I would say you have a leak from the fuel filter if they are the original dumb oetiker clamps, which cannot be snugged up - probly disturbed them while working in that area.

Anyone actually installed Aprilia Engine Kits on 998 V-twin Spyder?

It has the name on it - Yoshimura. Yes I saw the connector pic. I've looked at the wiring diagram until I went cross-eyed and can't identify a loose connector. What colours are those wires? On the old harness, does it look like that connector was actually connected to anything?

Anyone actually installed Aprilia Engine Kits on 998 V-twin Spyder?

What Ron says of wheel alignment is correct however, the near-enuff way I suggest is far better than how they came from the factory: toe-out, which always was and probly is the cause of what you experienced. If you can find a place that can do it the ideal way and can afford it, do so. If the...

Anyone actually installed Aprilia Engine Kits on 998 V-twin Spyder?

You can do it yourself better than the factory. Raise each front wheel and check for side wall run out. Position wheels back on floor so that the high or low spot on the wall is at 12 or 6 o'clock. With 2 straight pieces of box steel or perfectly straight rods, place them against sides of...

Anyone actually installed Aprilia Engine Kits on 998 V-twin Spyder?

The front end was pretty squirrelly. That will be due to the wheels being toe-out (from the factory). A small amount 1/8" of toe-in will fix it.

Anyone actually installed Aprilia Engine Kits on 998 V-twin Spyder?

As you're running it on blocks it WILL run in limp mode due to the VSS no movement in front wheel while the rear is driving. Get it mobile and see what results.
