• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    My New F3 Limited

:b2b: And congratulations on the new Ryde, the white is nice, but you should have gone to the dark side, they handle better. A few of you stated that you traded your black This or that for a white, how can you leave the dark side and move toward the light? For shame! Joe

    BRP idler with RR roller?

Wow, the vibration on the F3 or newer RT's, must really be bad for all of this conversation to take place. I am so happy that I have an RT, would love to have an F3, but my 2013 RT is awesome. There is a very slight, I did say very slight, vibration in the 70's, but certainly nothing really...

    Road Warrior Foundation Ride

Anyway, one bad apple does leave one to believe the others are bad as well. It just elevates my blood pressure when these huge "charities" get carte Blanche because they have been around and the young upstarts are questioned. Joe

    Anyone own a KompactKamp Trailer?

I just met Andy M. down at Maggie Valley earlier this month, he pulls one. That unit was very nice and he would not separate from it for anything. He did admit that if there were two people it would be an issue for him because one would have to crawl over the other to exit. He is from Long...

    Tire Mounting Problems

:agree: I took my wheels off, took them and the tires to an automotive tire shop, they removed the old, mounted the new, balance both and I was out the door after paying them $35 and change. Joe

    Shakes when first accelerating

Since you have a 2012, and it had an oil change 5,000 miles prior, you are past the oil change interval, not by far but just enough. I am not saying that this is the issue, but it could contribute to it. Like Chupaca stated, with the V-twin they almost always lose oil between changes. As...

    Average MPG Display ... ?

In my experience while using the Spyder Codes app, in my completely unscientific data collection, I have come up with a few conclusions. First allow me to point out that I have a 2013 RTL SE5 (30K miles) and a 622 trailer, if you have a 1330 and six speed then your results will vary...

    Average MPG Display ... ?

As far as the MPG thing goes, I use the Spyder Codes app on my phone. I use it at each fill up, I input the odometer reading as in 30,298, the price of the fuel and the gallons purchased. The program does the calculation, and will give you records in table or graph format so that you can see the...

Enough juice in the 622 trailer to power led light

I have a 2014 622, maybe the 2010 is similar. Open the front hatch and pull the carpet back that is just below the hatch on the side of the trailer. This would be just inside the yellow side marker light. Those wires are running light wires, splice into them and you are hot. Joe

Enough juice in the 622 trailer to power led light

I installed the TricLED side lights along the side of the trailer. They start yellow at the front and change to red in the rear and there are a LOT of lights. There has not been an issue, they are on anytime the trailer is plugged into the harness. Good Luck, Joe

    Motorcycle Touring Maps

:agree: We picked a couple of those up at the Maggie Valley event earlier this month, it was a big help and the map was so accurate with about 40 routes to run in the area. Joe

New guy looking at an RT with very low miles

The 1330 has a lot of advantages for sure, but do not be afraid of the V Twins, this is a great platform, it has an awesome record. I really like the high reving 998 engine, it performs well, I think that it sounds better than the 1330 and the low end is great. There are a lot of older...

    HELP

There are options for you. The RT should have come with an Apple plug and an everything else plug for the right side of the trunk. If you use an Apple phone or an Android you can simply plug them in to that port, select Aux on your radio setting and off you go, the sound will come through your...

    Road Warrior Foundation Ride

I am really at a loss for words and I am making every attempt to be calm and polite. This organization is very small, they do a great service, which is very visible if you just try to find it. Perhaps some of you are bean counters and just cannot let it go, perhaps some of you just have other...

    making progress

I am certainly pleased that your recovery is progressing so well, kudos! However, that unruly machine of yours is showing blatant disrespect with such aweful behavior. Curse that demon, but in the end you both survived and hopefully the neglect will soon be forgotten. Joe

    Are motorcycle gear manufacturers sexist?

Like Trikermotha said above, seriously we are going to label them as sexist? For goodness sakes, manufacturers build or design based on what sells for a demographic that they want to attract for thier product. They make what they believe the consumer will purchase. I accompanied three ladies...

    Road Warrior Foundation Ride

:congrats:Wow, good for all of your efforts, this is a good organization. They actually approved me for the Ryde last year, I declined so that they could accept a more worthy, younger rider, and I am glad that I did. This year I contributed, I hope that others will as well. Joe
