• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    It might be the rats!

Thanks for the tip! I just filed a claim; we'll see what happens.

    It might be the rats!

For a thousand bucks I could buy a cherry picker to lift off the rear section myself and still have $800 in my pocket. This really bites.

    It might be the rats!

Not cheap or quick. Ha! I should be so lucky! The estimate is $1,075. The varmints chewed into the wire harness and wrecked the wires to both the pillion switch and the compressor. They are going to submit the claim for the compressor to RPM-One in the hope that they will cover it because it...

    It might be the rats!

What do you have the radio set to? Country? Rock? Frank Sinatra/Dean Martin/Sammy Davis Jr? :joke: ( Get it? the Rat Pack?)

    Promo interest rate discrepancy

Both ads state 60 months, though. A longer term will have lower payments, but could cost more over the term of the loan.

    It might be the rats!

There's a switch under the pillion that tells the stability system to use a higher CG when a passenger is onboard. If the switch goes bad or the wires get shorted to ground, an orange screen lights up and says "Detecteur Passager" and Nanny gets real touchy if only the ryder is on. A real PITA...

    It might be the rats!

My Spyder is in the shop right now for two problems: a leaking airbag system, and a passenger detector problem. The mechanic called tonight to let me know that he found rat poop and insulation damage under the left passenger handle panel. :yikes: He's pulling the rear section off tomorrow to...

    Promo interest rate discrepancy

I noticed that there are two different promo interest rates being used in current ads. The promo rate mentioned on the Can-Am BRP site is 0%, but the promo rate mentioned on the dealer site is 0.9%. Both are through Sheffield Financing. Which rate is correct? Here are the two sites...

What does this Détecteur Passager screen mean? What needs to be done?

OK, I found the error code. C1183 is the VCM module - Pillion Rider Switch shorted to ground. Time to take it in to the dealer. Good thing I have a warranty.

What does this Détecteur Passager screen mean? What needs to be done?

No joy I took out the switch and flushed it out with alcohol, and then put a bit of Corrosion-X on the metal parts. I still have the warning screen and VSS off light.

What does this Détecteur Passager screen mean? What needs to be done?

There was no passenger on board. The only thing I noticed was some water on the seat this morning. It's been raining the last couple of days and now I know that my Bike Barn leaks! The language is set to English; this the only message I've seen in French, and I think it has something to do with...

What does this Détecteur Passager screen mean? What needs to be done?

I got this screen today on my RT-L. What does it mean? What needs to be corrected?

All farkles on hold for a while...

Thanksgiving! Very thankful that I got a job! I got a couple of calls yesterday that made me very happy! First, the headhunter called to tell me that I had been selected for the job I interviewed for on the 10th (Marine Corps Birthday), and then the HR person from the company called me to...

All farkles on hold for a while...

I need air! All of a sudden, I seem to be a hot commodity! I have been interviewing like crazy - phone interviews yesterday and today, the on-site tomorrow, and then 2 more phone interviews back-to-back on Friday morning. Plus several serious phone calls and emails wanting to set up interviews...

Things are looking up! I had a phone interview with an excellent company for an excellent job on Wednesday and nailed it! They have asked me to come in for an on-site interview next Thursday, so keep your fingers crossed!

A fun time installing my BajaRon sway bar and links

My apologies! It makes me crazy to get bad info off of the internet, and the last thing I want to do is promulgate it. I was under the impression that the sway bar installation was the same across the board, and I just didn't see what was so hard about using ramps. Drive up, crawl under, and...

WE ARE LIVE... Can you help?

No problems with Chrome Clicked right in, no errors. I looked around quite a bit, because I really want to buy something for my pearl white RTL; I just can't decide what to get. That, and SWMBO says I have to get a job  before I can get any more shiny things. Very nice site!
