• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What are the major differences- F3 vs F3-S?

Frame is not always orange, I have a 2019 Spyder F3S, and its frame is greyish/black, the differences are as stated above, better suspension, 10 more hp, and believe me, that's quite noticeable, rear sprocket, bit faster of the line, and a seat for the passenger. The 4k more, is not so much, if...

Electrical malfunction after short - is there a Main Fuse?

The spyders are notoriously hungry for electrical power, when you switch the ignition on, several systems kick in, they stay alive for just 30 minutes after you shut ignition off, so if you repeat this several times, without starting and running the bike, for atleast half an hour, your battery...

Anyone recommend an RT passenger bag?

I think a small backpack would be sufficient, what are you going to carry in it, I mean, does it have to waterproof? Just look were the strapfittings are located, cause when they are on the front of the backrest, they would provide on not so nice ride Maybe a legbag, would work, again I don't...

F3-T air suspension - what's it do & how does it work?

imho, when ryding two-up, you would prefer to have a preload adjuster, and a higher rated spring, you would be better of, airbags (as many said before), would leak after time, and would set you back more moneywise..

Recommendations for a 2 up Shock

I do not recommend the fox, provided by Can Am, this is just a fancy version of the original shock (had one, didn't do the job), Wilbers makes good shocks, Elka does too, there is even a thread on spyderlovers, that boasts about shocks, made in France, M2 comes also to mind. I have a custom...

How to reduce the loud knock when you put it in first gear?

My F3s on start-up, is not giving a clunk, but it's more noticeable, when the machine is fully warmed up, as said above, the wet clutch is designed to work that way, no harm can be done to the gears...

Anyone put a Wrap on matte black? Successful or not?

If the wrap, for any reason, is removed, the matte finish, will look like a "wetlook" matte finish, this is irreversible, but there is no issue, there is always matte wrap foil, any color, any print. Make the bike yours, worry later...

Ignition switch 'jammed' .. key won't turn

It's good practice to use graphite powder for locks, the copper latches will slide better Lessen wear, also protects for moisture, and I agree with blueknight, that a key is only needed to start the machine. I made the latches also, never use the key for the frunk on my f3.

Clearcoating matt helmet - anyone tried this? Did it turn out nice or a disaster?

What is the shell made off, most helmets especially the polycarbonate ones, will weaken if spraypainted, they wil NOT BE SAFE anymore, imho it's better to buy a new helmet furthermore you are modifications that will void warranty. You only have one set of brains..... I agree that a spraypainted...

Dealer service calls for new rear tire & brake pads - does this sound right?

Not quite, Mike, my brakepads, the o.e.m.'s were gone at 9500 km's, and I mean close to iron gone, Rear tyre was also gone at the same mileage, I now run EBC pads, the rotors were good, I just think i''ve had a bad bunch of bad pads.. The fronts and the rear were shot, but I lay heavily on the...
